This is what i'd like to hear. An RDS analyst with gravitas that knows his **** tell Therrien:

-Gaston, moi je l'ai 53 sur ma liste, x je l'ai juste dans la 4ième ronde.
Or

That's the type of guys you need to win Stanley Cups. Even if they are playing on the 3rd and 4th line.

Why did you watch the draft on RDS ? Just to bash them ?

I did not.

You don't pick Mitch Moroz 32nd overall. That's just idiotic to me.

All drafted in the first 5 rounds.

Strait: already a guy over 24-25 when drafted. A proven pro in the Swiss league.

When I am talking about the kinky late round/last round picks, just go to hockeydb and check the list of nobodies from very far away drafted by the Habs.

Why not give a ****ing chance to a Q guy or any other CHL kid ?

Well we can always invite those guys to Dev. Camp anyway can't we. So it's not that big of a deal.

Timmins seems to be a great guy.

He's on RDS right now BTW.

Well guys, it has been a long year for the Montreal Canadiens, but the draft is done and it was a good wait for all of us. I'd like to thank you all for all the 20 000 posts about the NHL Draft during the year, we had so much fun and hopefully we will enjoy next season for the Habs. For me it's Stanley Cup or Nathan MacKinnon

Yeah but some of those guys get drafted later, signed as FA's or traded for. Look at Nolan...

http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/p....php?pid=89726

King

http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/p....php?pid=82959

Fraser

http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/p....php?pid=62547

Those are all guys they got late or very cheap...not guys they used top 40-50 picks on. We have guys like Moen Schultz Conboy Moen Blunden in that type of role player.

Yea and I`m a fan of Moroz... not with the guys still available.

I love how some still insisted that this is a weak draft again It`s almost a tradition.

I've seen Timmins speak more in the last 2 weeks than I've seen him speak during the Gauthier/Gainey era.

Timmins on RDS saying he went to see Samuelson and fell in love with Nystrom, only after 2 games of watching him. Their Sweedish scout followed him for the rest of the season after that

So why bother with a Draft ? So let's invite every freagin players in the World and sign them if we like them or they accept our contracts. Let's go to a ALL-UFA system.

And this clown on RDS asking if they're going to ask players from the Q for tryouts. Why are they so dumb? Why?

The scouting staff must be pumped up. I bet we'll here that all of these guys were in their Top 50.

I think Galchenyuk isn't eligible to play for a country at the WJCs correct?

Sebastian Collberg: Lock for Sweden
Dalton Thrower: possible for Canada
Tim Bozon: Lock for France
Brady Vail: possible for USA
Erik Nyström: possible for Sweden

Exactly...grab them late like Chicago did with this guy...

http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/p....php?pid=62465

Hope we can sign a few tough/physical players as free agents to go along with Thrower Dietz Didier and Tinordi on defense.

Didn't he play for the US U-17 team?
