IIRC Suter has said that he's not interested in signing with a Canadian team and most likely wants to stay in the West, so personally I wouldn't. MacArthur is becoming a pretty underrated player around here.
As well as Lupul/Bozak/Kessel played, in terms of facing the opposition's best, MacArthur/Grabovski/Kulemin was our top line last season, and were much more reliable defensively than Lupul/Bozak/Kessel.... not to mention they can actually cycle the puck. I'd include MacArthur in a package for a top-six upgrade, but not for picks or a player's rights or anything along those lines. He's a good top-9 player.
EDIT: well, maybe for the rights to Parise, because I think he'd sign here if we threw enough money at him, but IMO Suter is headed to Detroit or Minnesota.

As for Philly, I really don't want JVR, unless Philly takes a bad salary off our hands. JVR is payed way too much for his health problems and production.
People are underating Schenn here. I still think he has the potential to be a top pairing shut-down d-man. If we were to pair him with Phaneuf this year we could see his true colours. I'd only deal him for JVR straight up (because he also has high-end potential), not a 2nd/3rd line tweener in Simmonds.

I would definitely bite on it. I might even go as far as making those picks a conditional 2nd if Suter doesn't sign.
Schenn for JVR would be an interesting one, just because of all the pieces that would be involved. We still would have to move salary somewhere if we plan on being players in the Parise sweepstakes and resigning Suter if we were to go there.

I don't think anyone is doubting that Schenn still has tons of potential - he's just frustrated in T.O - He didn't like playing Wilson's system. He has issues with Dion. The franchise is a perennial loser. I think the best thing for him and the team is a change. If we could get a decent Top6 coming back it would address a much bigger need then Schenn sulking in the press box.

Simmonds got 28 goals 49 pts this year and he's only 23 yrs old. Not bad for a 3rd liner.

The system is changing next year. Ron Wilson is gone. He could very well flourish now. This being said, I wouldn't be against swapping for JVR because he also has high-end upside.
