Of course you would. Why would you prefer the established player who has the size and can actually play nasty enough to keep the opps looking for him, throwing them off their game, as opposed to an undersized kid who likely will never fill such a role. I like Shaw, but this is the NHL. His size, or lack thereof, does measure up to the player you'd like him to be.

we had luck that Bowman hasn't added Ribeiro, hope Ott stays or goes to another team.

Size isn't everything. If it was Bickell would be a superstar. Instead of a guy who's all but punched his ticket out of town for a team lacking in size

Shaw's a good player for what he makes and his skillset also the guy is reportedly a very hard worker. Those are all good traits to have for a bottom sixer.
