Not even. They have plenty of space. Of course if players want to win Cups long term, Pittsburgh will be an attractive place to sign. They'll still try to dump Martin off somewhere, that'll open A LOT of doors.

They should go to a team with an American goaltender, so it can be new second favorite team.

Good for them. PR people (similar to equpiment staff) are among the most dedicated personnel.

If that's true, isn't there some sort rule violation there? I thought no one can talk to players about signing until July 1?

Parise can say whoever he wants to play with. Just like Crosby can.

If Hjalmarsson is truly on the block, would he appeal to us?

I don't know, he seems kind of redundant.

Parise said he's not signing in the division. I feel like I've heard that multiple times.

I don't think he has said that--at least not that I've seen.

I do remember an interview in which he said he wouldn't sign with the Rangers--but that was in direct response to a question brought on by his father's comments...

i know it's not as sexy as Suter or Weber but how about Rozsival?

PHO probably doesn't resing him with Michalek back. Decent size and a right handed shot.

Mez - Kimo
Grossman - Coburn
Carle - Rozsival

Eh.

So has anyone seen the rumor about the Flyers and Toronto talking trade? Nobody has a clue of what they are talking about though. Of course the usual JVR and Luke Schenn have been brought up. The Leafs capalogist was at our table today during the draft.

I'd be cool with a JvR-Schenn swap as long as something else came back our way. Wouldn't have to be anything crazy but I wouldn't want the Flyers to add and I wouldn't do it straight up.

There's only about a $600k cap difference between the two, so I'm not sure what they would need a "capologist" for.

By the way, has anyone looked at Toronto's numbers going forward? They have exactly three roster forwards signed beyond next season--Kessel, Grabovsky, and Brown. Connolly, Lupol, Lombardi, MacArthur, Armstrong, Bozak, and Steckel are all UFA.

Obviously things will change between now and then. But at the moment, they have $36 million in cap space after next season.
