Toronto close to a trade (Burke)

Brian Burke was asked after the 2012 NHL draft...

Reporter: "Are you going home now? Are you close to anything at all?"
Burke: "We might be, yeah. We might be."

During day 2 of the NHL draft, it was reported by Paul Hendrick (Leafs TV) that Toronto was seen spending a lot of time with Philadelphia and Nashville. Claude Loiselle was seen at the Flyers table. What's interesting is that Loiselle is the "capologist" in the Maple Leafs' front office. Leads me to believe that he was checking numbers, which might mean that Toronto-Philadelphia are in the final stages of completing a deal.

I honestly think that's it.... Burke gets a huge North American winger to play in his top 6, and Philly gets some defensive help.

For the life of me, I don't know why Burke would trade away a defenseman though...

why trade away any of our actual quality dmen??

leafs were 10th in goals for (acceptable imo)
leafs were 29th in goals against (completely unacceptable in .. everyones opinion)

dman for a fwd makes no sense unless its a guy like komisarek for a 3rd-4th line defensive minded fwd...

the glaring need is goaltending and until thats shored up i wouldnt be parting with any resources that could be required to get it!

The NHL should negotiate into the new CBA the Bryz must be traded to one of the teams getting 24/7 yearly. For the fans.

Apparently Phil is smashed, His chin seems to bump her mic right before he busts out laughing or he is just a really weird and awkward guy. what is pretty awesome too.
