Imo My prediction.

Kulemin + average prospect(colburne) + pick
for
Luongo.

You're not getting Kulemin for Luongo.

Unless you take back Lombardi, Connolly or Komisarek.

Even then, you'd have to send back a relatively high pick or prospect.

Maybe MacArthur, Komisarek and a 2nd in 2013 for Luongo.

Burke was seen talking with Nashville as well as Philly.

They made a deal with Philly, now I think Nashville is the other team they are involved with, if there's a trade made.

Colin Wilson must be target of Burke's. No, I have no idea of his value to the Preds but I think he'd be exactly what Burke wants to bring to the Leafs.

Oh yeah I forgot... elite goalies aren't worth 7 goal scorers anymore

Is he really a 7 goal scorer or a 30 goal scorer?

Somehow, I think he's at least a 20 goal scorer going forward.

That package won't get it done for Luongo. Certainly not with Komisarek at least.

I'd figure that Kulemin has less value to the Leafs now that they have JVR. Makes it easier to part with him if the Canucks want him as part of a Luongo deal.

Thats like saying , a 30-goal scorer isnt worth a backup goalie..

He said Burke was close to making a deal an hour or two before the JVR/Schenn swap broke.

Leafs TV reporter. Usually the first to report on practice lines and what not.

Very very credible.

I'm not sure why everyone thinks a Luongo trade to Toronto is imminent. Luongos contract is the NHL flagship for cap circumvention - something that Brain Burke has lobbied hard against in his time here. It could be argued that Burke's emphatic hatred of long term cheat contracts cost us Brad Richards, why would he 180 for Roberto Luongo?

Burke has said he is comfortable with Reimer at this point. Luongo is not coming to Toronto - ever. Maybe Florida, maybe Tampa, but not Toronto.

Its too early for that.. Rielly has yet to even play an NHL game, let alone have an amazing rookie campaign..

Burke has issues with handing out those contracts, but no issue with trading for him. Lu may not come here, but if he doesn't, this^ has nothing to do with it.

But for related opinionated commentary, Henny is a LeafsTV reporter. I suppose he's legit.

Rumors around Colin Wilson and the Leafs given the talks between Burke and Poile at the draft, it may have legs.

renaud lavoie RDS who's usually an excellent source for habs and NHL out of montreal posted that luongo doesn't want to step into the limelight of toronto after what happened in Vancouver. apparently his first choice is Florida (where he lives, where his wife is from...)and tallon is very interested - but the panthers are a cap team and might not be able to take on that contract. can luongo veto deals?

I don't think it will be for Luongo....Gillis won't move him unless Toronto gives up a decent piece and I'm not sure the Leafs want to do that.
