Welcome in 2006.
I didn't realize they were not only incapable of movement, but also have no hands. Good one... .

Can anybody tell me why does Briere play C? Seems like a pretty poor choice when you have a young Cs that needs developing and a player like Briere who is terrible defensively.

Is he just not effective on the wing?

Please tell me who can move the puck on a consistent level other than Timonen?
And Mez and Coburn are not consistent.

How are they not consistent? **** if need be, want Carle to come back to feed your need? Also, we have yet to see how the new season turns out. Grossmann I feel is a great out-of-the-zone passer and Coburn can move the puck well enough. Mez can surprise us sometimes with dangles and a cannon from the point. I need to see more of Schenn this season to decide. I felt that Bourdon and Gus could move the puck well. I don't know how literally adding Schenn to a roster that was mostly filled with unsure of how things will turn out, to that we will never be able to move the puck ever again?

Carle is great at moving the puck.
I'll leave it at that.

Coburn and Mez get trapped in their own zone far too often.
I think your in denial when you say we are a good puck moving team from the back-end. And good isn't good enough to win a cup concerning this vital point.

At this point i do hope to make a run at parise. I honeslty wouldnt be surprised if we cant get parise homer takes a hard look at semin. Homer seems to be looking for a winger for giroux.

Semin is a good when he wants to be. Don't like his soft attitude.

Its a shame because if he works hard he can be a very good two way winger. He is just too selfish and just doesn't make that sacrifice.

The only problem I would have with getting Parise is the idea of his cap hit for the length and then having to think about the raises that both Giroux, Schenn and Couturier would get when they hit RFA after the 2013-14 season.

-Voracek/Mez/1st (or two 1sts) for Yandle
-Parise I don't have much hope for but if we could bring him in and talk to Giroux for a while. Those two could have the best 1 2 punch for years to come.
-Gaustad. I try to get him in everyone of my capgeeks. We need his type of player on this team.
-Wellwood/Schenn/Read would be one fast line and I would hope that Read would break out this season because he has the skill to be a good top 6 forward.
-Carle/Yandle pairing is undersized but they are both smart players and would be a good pairing.
-Kimmo with Schenn on the third pairing to teach him on his positioning and what it takes to be an nhl d-man. No better linemate on this team for Schenn then Kimmo.

In that scenario, you'd probably pair Yandle and Timmonen at the top and Carle and Schenn at the bottom.

You're right though, Carle and Yandle is an unintelligent pairing as they play the exact same type of game.
