These project picks are pissing me off... What's his upside ?
Have you seen him play? He plays a smart, simple and effective game. He has size and decent skating as well. He also has some decent hands and plays hard.

To me, that sounds less project and more safe.
Dan, you said he should probably end up as a 3rd liner (maybe 2nd) right?
Frankly, we don't have enough bottom six guys in our system. We all know about the big flashy top 6 guys, but outside of Bulmer we have what, Graovac and a bunch of Riseborough holdouts for possible bottom 6 guys?

Don't mean to get too off topic here but does anyone else like McMillan in our bottom 6? I know statistics make it seem as if he went backwards last year but every time he has been up with the Wild, I have liked his energy, physicality, and ability to go to the net.

Bottom 3 at best probably. I liked Palmer more than him.

I have not seen him play. Hence why I ask, and HS players scare me... Low caliber of play... Mind you it is a 3rd round pick.
Has the makings of the bottom six player as he just plays a simple game.
However, as the year went on, he started to get more confidence and show flashes of creativity and nifty hands. He also has alot of room in that 6'3 to fill out.
So with flashes of skill, and expecting him to put on 20lbs of muscle, he might have a future on the top six player.
That is why I call him a top nine forward. Makings of a 3rd liner but shows flashes of potential that suggest perhaps to is more upside to his game.
