Just ran into the Little Ball of Hate

My wife and I are sitting down to watch a movie and ran into Brad Marchant in the concession area. Congratulated him on his cup and asked him if he was looking forward to playing Montreal in the near future now that Boston had a Subban of their own. He had a good chuckle over that. He signed a few autographs for the kids and then went on his way. I was surprised at how small he actually is. My wife was the one who actually noticed him lol.

Cool story although I thought of Steve Simmons as soon as I saw the thread title.

Little Ball of Hate is Pat Verbeek and always will be.

Hope Brad Ross has a Marchand like effect in the next couple of years for us.

Should've punched him in the face while you had the chance

The Rupert we just drafted today could turn out to be exactly like Marchand as well.

I was just gonna say, it would be a much better story if he punched you in face, spit on you and then did a golfing motion.

But cool either way.

Women have an uncanny ability of recognizing people facially. My ex-girlfriend used to do stuff like this all the time.

Yeah I've been around him and it's crazy to think he goes up against some of the beasts in the NHL. The guy has balls and heart that's for sure. Must have beastly legs also lol.

Brad Marchant? You mean Todd Marchant or Brad Barchand, right?

I will always remember this specific dive:

It was shades of Kovalev; with the blatant dive leading to a goal against.

He also spun for so long; I actually had to question if it was all a dream within a dream within a dream.

I'm from Halifax as well, and once i ran into Crosby (About 4 years ago at Subway in Cole Harbour). I had a long conversation with him and the entire time I thought it was someone who i went to highschool with (because he looked so familiar). I apologized for forgetting his name, and he said "i'm Sidney Crosby".

Try to do a hip check at his knees if you can bend down that far.

That must have been a little awkward

I thought Ray Ferraro's nickname was little ball of hate?

Anyways, it must have been tough to hold back the punches. Or at the very least popcorn in the hair.

He's a cocky, arrogant.. well ya know. Always has been. I went to school with him and Andrew Bodnarchuk (sp?), another B's prospect.

I hated Marchand even more when he got traded to the Mooseheads. In the playoffs, he made a comment after we were down 2-0 (I think it was) and said "I wish they traded me to a good team". We benched him the rest of the way. He was terrible as a Moosehead.

Yeah that's what I meant. Tried to type on a phone and pay attention to my wife at the same time.

Little ball of hate is from Obama after their trip to the White House. He referred to him as that.

Always seems to have that smug look on his face but he was nice enough to sign some autographs for the kids that were there so I kept it civil.

I'd take Marchand on the Leafs any day of the week.

Same, and I would probably love him on the leafs. But he isn't on the leafs so I hate him haha.
