And where would we acquire this 2nd line C? And for what? Remember, Anaheim is looking for one and they are giving up Ryan for it. What would we give up?

I would. I'd rather sign Parise long term. And I really don't wanna do that. Vanek would not help us. I almost would prefer signing Semin.

They have 2. Ennis and Roy. 5'7 and 5'8 respectively. Not going to get Ryan.

And then he'd be 30 and want another big contract. Except he's not worth it and we'd lose a ton of assets for a scorer who in the past 3 years has not looked particularly amazing.

I really would rather take a flier on Semin.

And Ennis only started playing center a little while ago. They caught lightning in a bottle with the Stafford-Ennis-Foligno line. We'll see if he actually succeeds in that role.

Pretty sure they're both 5'9, but it's a moot point. Both tiny.

I'd only be interested in Roy if he comes at the price Ribeiro did. We can do a lot worse in the FA market. I wouldn't actually mind paying a 2nd to get him for one year at 4 mil. Would actually give us some center depth.

I keep cringing when I see this. It would be a mess between him and Torts.

Those as individuals will not. They also have Hodgson that they possibly could want to move up into the top 6. Luke Adam is a good center too. They are for sure going to deal Roy or Ennis. With their cap situation, Roy is most likely going to go.

They are going to want a top 6 winger. Pominville, Vanek, Leino what they want for Roy as top 6 wings. Ryan would be something they would want, two playmaking wings and two goal scorers, one a sniper the other a power forward.

The question would be: Do the Ducks want a package centered around a soon to be UFA center after a down season for the second consecutive season that is smaller? My guess would be no. Someone will take on Roy hoping he bounces back and give them a decent winger for it. It won't be Ryan. They'd want Hodgson or Luke Adam in the package.

Not that it is a realistic scenario, but I would deal Stepan for Ryan if we could get Roy from Buffalo.

I would do the same. The problem is Roy doesn't work well with everyone. He didn't work well with Vanek or Pominville. I'm not sure if he would fit here. I'd rather have him than Vanek, at any rate.

Doesn't buffalo need d? Del zotto for roy? Contingent on stepan prospects for Ryan? Ryan-Richards-Gabs. Kreider-Roy-Cally. Hags-anis-dubi

I guess I am simply hoping that Suter, Parise and Ryan end up in another division.

Suter to Detroit
Parise to Minnesota
Ryan stays in LA

Nash stays in cbus or goes to another team willing to gut their franchise to get him. The Lindros deal comes to mind on this one.

This rangers fan is fine with Richards, Stepan and Boyle down the middle,

I wish Tortorella would give Dubinsky a shot as 3rd line center but after seeing Brandon take about zero faceoffs this past season I have given up on that happening.

Roy is about 5 foot 9 inches, I don't see him as part of the NY defensive program.

Its fine being a smurf but if the choice is del zotto and Stepan plus something else for ryan and roy ?

I choose keeping DZ and Stepan

The Rangers are not trading their 21 year old puckmover for a center on a down year with 1 year left on his contract.

Besides, the Sabres will not be interested in puckmovers. They already have their own, signed long term (and frankly, they're a lot worse than Del Zotto imo).

I'm only interested in Roy if the price is low.

Vishnovsky is making only $3M in salary. $5.6M cap. Are the Ducks losing money?
Nah, much like the Islanders, they've got a horribly cheap owner. Henry Samueli is taking a page out of Donald Sterlings book.

I would have a much bigger concern for Bobby Ryan in our system than Derek Roy to be honest.

It seems like so many is giving this kid a pass despite him having all kind of flaws (soft, slow, inconsistent) while everyone else is scrutinized...

Would anyone move Dubinsky for Roy? Suggested it on sabres board and they seem to think it would work. Than move a stepan package for Ryan?

30 goals every year except the year he played 5. Untapped potential. Big body so would work well here I think. Sniper. He's perfect for our needs

So you're interested in 10%.

I think Roy could be a nice pickup if he came cheap. I think Stafford, if he were available (he's not anymore), would be interesting if we could swap him with Dubinsky.

They want a center for the future, not Roy.
