You mean the worst goalie on the roster and the only one without a contract next year was the wrong goalie to trade? Hmm...

That part is correct. Signing the better goaltender would have been the correct move.

Yes it was correct because I referring to Gustavsson.

THIS ^^^ SCRIEMER....Win Win.....They turn out to make a great tandem and the future of the franchise making the playoffs and gaining some valuable experience along the way. They implode and the Leafs get another high end draft pick.

No "we" didn't. The only thing left to determine is whether either of the remaining young goalies are worth more than a 7th round conditional pick. That is as close to nothing as you can get.

I actually had a chance to meet Reimer and he's such a nice guy, I really hope he has a bounce-back year, stays healthy and plays well. He's an amazing guy.

Nope. The rumour was Burke didn't want to rush and make a move at that time.

And enough excuses already. Burke is paid and paid well to produce results.
Not to have fans make excuses why he has been unable to do his job.

I think there is much doubt. How much injury changes a goalie's perspective on the game varies widely. Reimer's injuries have healed, but the effect on his overall confidence and thus ability to play the position remains to be seen. The mere fact that he ended up in a backup role last season suggests that the mental part of bouncing back is the largest hurdle to overcome.

I like the Reimer/Scrivens plan. This would not be the worst outcome. I would not give up the kitchen cupboard for Luongo. With JVR here, Schenn gone, there is enough change in the line up to wait and evaluate. No need to turn the team upside down because of a perceived weakness in net.

Reimer has a strong faith as its represented on his goalie mask, so we should have faith in Reimer.

I support James and hope he gets a chance and opportunity to develop into Leafs starter and be a part of Leafs future success.

The problem is not with our goalies, it's with Francois Allaire, he ruined Gustavvson's style and he is doing it to Remier. The days of butterfly goalies are gone.
