I know that Liles is recently signed to a new contract, but what is his value to St. Loius since they are in the market for a PMD. I was thinking Stewart +. If Shultz signs with TO IMO I believe Liles becomes expendable.
I'd like to think Burke is trying to move a defender (Liles, Franson, Gunnarsson) in a deal for one of their centres (Berglund, Oshie, Backes). Obviously other pieces would be involved, but it could be a base for something.

We don't have enough to bring Backes in. Oshie would br great, but he's a lot better on the wing than centre. Berglund would be my target - 6'4" centre with skill and upside.
IMO, unless its a deal for Luongo, or a 1C (slim chance) I feel our goal in trades should be to unload as many of as Komisarek, Lombardi and Connolly as possible.
Kadri and Frattin deserve legit ice time, other than a 1C, we have guys who are able to legitimately play every other role in the lineup. Our defence could be further improved, but we do have some guys in the Marlies who can move up

The way I think it will go, is if it's a minor deal, a cap dump or something like that, it's out tonight. If Burke is knocking of any socks, it's tomorrow.

Too many of you are including gunnar as trade bait it seems. He's easily one of the most valuable dmen we have and will play next year on our top pairing with phaneuf. Also, our wing positions are done. We don't need anymore of Wilson, Ryan, Nash. With jvr, we addressed our size. Now we have: Lupul, Kessel, JVR, Kulemin, Frattin, Kadri on the wing. Thats solid.

There's an easy solution to refreshing twitter. Set twitter up to send a text to your phone with someone you trust. I get all of Bobby Mac's tweets as a text to my phone.

Get rid of Bozak (he just doesnt fit), Connolly, Lombardi
Bozak fits perfectly as a 3rd line centre.
He's good on draws, skates very well, and is an above average defender despite being relatively young.
Mark my words the second that we acquire a C to play between Kessel and Lupul, Bozak will fall back and his game will flourish without the pressure to put up points.
If a Toronto S.Louis trade go's down my money is on a Gunnarson for Berglund swap just makes too much sense. The cap hit of Gunnarson being a top 4 D men is why St. Louis does this, Toronto it's obvious why they do it.

no. Gunnarson is one of our last defensively oriented dmen. Trade him for a 5'8, 35 year old winger? After Phaneuf, Gunnarson is without a doubt our most important dman in the coming season.
