Ryder is good with ribs, and i believe zednik was atleast decent while playing with mikey. If you don't like zednik on the 2nd, switch bulis with zednik once again.
I say we take Alex and pair him up with Kovalev...and maybe we lost begin to injury but we still have steve...

Ryder would only be good with Ribs if he'd stop trying to bring the puck into the zone. But there is probably no one on the team who could finish Ribs' plays better.

Murray-Bonk-Downey could work.

I believe that is what gainey will do. Also he will have to put either zednik or bullis on the 2nd. I don't believe that kost will be called up cause that would mean that perez would probably be sent down. Kost will probably be called up after hamilton is done. i believe you can have more players on the roster in the playoffs or after trade deadline or something(please confirm or deny).

That said Zednik needs to get some confidence or he is a waste. we need his past playoff abilities. Hopefully Murray can fill Begin's role on the 4th.

Perez is still working at his game and is not ready for NHL or especially Playoffs. I have not been very impressed with him. the flashes are way too far apart. the guy never hits the net?

I think kost is a lot better than perez, hopefully after hamilton is finished the year, kost will get a chance and maybe all the ice time in hamilton this year pays off with a surprise 2nd line finisher, if zednik fails.

al in all Begin will be missed but we have depth im not worried

If it's just a small sprain...Rocket Blesses Us All.

But when they're talking about "Recovery Programs" and such...I've got a bad feeling about this.

Begin would be a massive loss for the playoffs. I hope he comes back for you guys. His two cpnsecutive blocked shots against the sens PP the other say were RIDICULOUS.

Begin was blocking shots in the preseason.. who blocks shots in the preseason? He's a huge part of our team.

I'm no doctor but this looks like one of those 4-6 week deals.

But knowing Begin and knowing the playoffs are close, I'd say he's back in 2 weeks

However, that's one part of his game I dislike... Blocking shots in preseason? That's very stupid. You increase your chances of missing "real" games but if you help the team to win, you do not get the two points.

Maybe he felt with all the prospects montreal has he had to go 100% in preseason to make the team.

or Maybe he needs to go 100% all the time or he is not the same player. Some guys if they turn "it" off in the preseason, take a while to turn "it" back on in the regular season. "It" is a mindset and its not as easy as flipping a switch.

Hope Lapierre can step it up (I like the kid). Still, tough to see your favourite player out right now.

Exactly.

I for one would surely give 100% in an NHL pre-season game. Hell, I give 100% when i play street hockey drunk at 4am. I don't think I ever play a game of something without giving 100%.

Ron Fournier saw Bégin walking without crutches in a hidden area. But someone told him it was still could be pretty serious.
