If we win the cup within the next 2 years, do you guys think anybody on our team will actually bring his jersey on the ice, kind of like New Jersey did with Sykore the year he got injured in the stanley cup? Since we signed Boogaard for 4 years i'm pretty sure he would have been here next season and the next which means he would still be part of the team, thoughts? Just something i thought about.
I hope not. What happened to Boogaard is unfortunate--and hockey as a sport had a roll in it--but enough has been done by this organization for a player who played 22games here.
I'm gonna say a resounding NO. I feel bad for Boogey, he basicly gave his life for the game by the way he played, but he was a Ranger for 22 games. I think the die-hard fan will always keep him in their heart there isn't anymore the organization can do to honor his memory than what has alreadly been done.
Maybe he get's a plauge put up in his honor somewhere around the new MSG, but that's it.
I only say that because we signed him for 4 years and if we win the cup within the next 2 years, he would have still been here if he didn't pass, even tho he might have been waived but still.
