Which is quite the opposite from hockey, because I could watch random NHL games with no rooting interest all day long

Only when the Yankees play you can call a foul tip a ball or Cano's clear swing a check.

Foul tip was on Ibanez who ended up popping out anyways to end an inning.

As for Cano's check I'm assuming you are talking about a ball 4 check. I didnt see the replay but didnt look like a swing to me. They also asked 3rd base ump on that play and he said Cano didnt go.

Yeah. Umpires are just bad in most sports. I can find examples for each team.

Well tie game, Mets fans finally cheering for their team. Before i thought it was a Yankees home game, guess Mets fans only cheer when their team is winning.

It's a tie game, bottom 6. Dickey is out of the game.

Dickey wasn't getting that pitch all game and it's a strike on Kirk.

Come on, Cap'n.

Terry is awful at managing the bullpen. He's a bad in-game manager.

Even worse, Sandy ***** the bed at building the BP and has this awful guy on the roster.

Why the **** wasn't Byrdak up?

Second day in a row Byrdak should have been in the game against a lefty.

I don't understand how he doesn't even put in Bobby instead of Batista.

Batista is ****ing HORRENDOUS. What pathetic managing.

Good performance by the offense and pen tonight.

Yankees end up 5-1 against the Mets. I think the problem with this matchup from a Mets standpoint is that once it gets into the bullpens the advantage tilts far in the Yankees favor.

im glad they got the win but enough with this chris stewart catching cc sabathia. its like john flaherty catching randy johnson all over again. girardi needs to stick with martin. i hope he realizes that if they go to the playoffs you cant have chris stewart in the lineup in game one of the alds. stewart is god awful.

I agree, Sabathia is good with Martin so i'm not sure why Girardi switches it up, he makes stupid moves sometimes.

Yep. Didn't like the Mets chances getting into the bullpen with the game tied. They really needed to get a run or two in when the bases were loaded.

The problem tonight was Miguel Batista.

I'm not going to complain, but Terry Collin's lost this team the game. Dickey was bad, but the ump gave him no help, but Terry leaving in Batista to face your best player was the point where I knew we lost.

I'm not going to complain, because the rest of you are a lot classier than this one tool in the thread who keeps spouting ********, but Terry Collin's lost this team the game. Dickey was bad, but the ump gave him no help, but Terry leaving in Batista to face your best player was the point where I knew we lost.
Collins did a poor job of managing this weekend. No way around it. If Byrdak is in the game there, we may be in extra innings right now.
