Sens Board Prospect Rankings 2012 (1st)

Sens Prospect Rankings:

1. Who is it?

Senators Prospects Top 40 (2011) + Past Rankings:

Tell me who you would like added for the next poll.

Quote:
Prospect Criteria:

A player will be considered a prospect until he meets the following criteria:

If a prospect is a skater (forward, defenseman) and has played in 65 NHL games or more before the completion of the season of his 24th birthday; or, if a goaltender has played in 45 NHL games before the completion of the season of his 24th birthday, that player will be considered graduated to the NHL. Conversely, if a player completes the season of his 24th birthday without passing those milestones, then that player will no longer be considered a prospect by Hockey’s Future, regardless of the player’s status with his NHL club.

An NCAA player who signs his first contract at or above the age of 22 has three years to meet the above criteria (65/45), while those NCAA players that turn pro under the age of 22 will be subjected to
the criteria above.

European players who sign their first NHL contract at or above the age of 22 have three seasons from the time they sign that contract to meet the above criteria. Those European players below the age of 22 that have signed a NHL contract will be subjected to the criteria in section one.

We should probably hold off on this till Dev camp is done with, no? I'm interested to see where guys like Boyle and Baillergeon stack up.

I think the dev camp is going to be over when it'll be time to vote for Boyle and Baillargeon.

I went with Zbad, but as long as the three Swedes go 1, 2, 3 the list is bang on.

It could be argued about regressed. Keep him in Bingo this year, I think this guy has all the talent in the world but last year was not a good developmental year

Tough one...Silf or Zibby. I'll go with Zibby, since he was the first round pick. Next year will tell for sure!

Bryan Murray had to convince MacLean to let Zibby go back to Sweden. He's doing fine

3rd line defensive role on a weak Djurgarden team which got relegated, made the sens team as an 18 year old out of camp, instrumental in sweden's WJC gold metal win and ranked in the top 5 of all prospects according to HF (albeit its only one source).

i think he's where the sens and other NHL teams expected him to be. he'll be fine.

going with lehner.

his upside would have a bigger impact on this team than any prospect ever not named spezza or alfie. I think he's still got a year to go before being NHL ready though.

Im talking about after that. His season in Sweden seemed ok, nothing special. He also had 2 concussions. Im not convinced going into training camp this year Zibanejad is a better player than last year.

Have to go with Stone here, he is our most offensively talented forward. He is a big gritty winger, who has excellent hockey IQ and positioning. He is very consistent and he is pretty good at taking draws as well.. He is a dynamic player who can be a sniper, playmaker or power forward.

He'll be a better player just with added bulk and strength. He plays a powerforward's game and that's going to make essentially everything he already does well even better.

Silfverberg. It'll be obvious when he has played a dozen games at the NHL level.

Uhhh, Silfverberg was inserted into the lineup for games 6 and 7 of a playoff series.

Meanwhile Zibanejad couldn't hack the top 6 on the worst team in teh SEL.
