Who WOULD you trade Couturier for?

Besides the obvious Malkin, Crosby and Stamkos because they're still very young. Any other prospects you guys would be willing to trade straight up or in a package? Anyone in the top 5 of this years draft or last year?

I still feel like I would have a very hard time shipping anywhere, no matter the player.

Not unless a man named Shea Weber is going to be wearing a Flyers jersey in return.

In the Division we play in we need a Center with his kind of Defensive capabilities. No one in the league is as young as he is and as good defensively as he is. Sure there are some guys who defensively are better but they are all past their prime or midway through it.

I wouldn't trade him. Simple as that. Too valuable for this team. Not everyday a kid comes along with his poise, patience, defensive awareness, and offensive skill packaged into on player. He's the ultimate 3rd line center that can score often and assist offensively. When's the last time you saw an 18 year old play that well against a player like Malkin?

I want to deal Schenn, not Couturier. He's as close to untouchable to me as Giroux.

My thoughts exactly.

However, at this point, Schenn is going nowhere as well. We just traded for his brother. There's no way hes traded now.

I feel like every time we label a player untouchable it doesn't work out well.

Seriously, I'd consider moving him for a young top pairing defender like Ekman-Larsson or Subban.

Pretty crazy that Couturier has made such a drastic impact on our feelings towards him and his future in a year.

My feelings exactly, only I would almost certainly do a trade for OEL. I'd wince, but I'd do it.

He had a good year and we're as fickle as they come.

Subban is underrated. He is already a top pairing defenseman and he's only 22. He faced the 15th toughest competition with tough zone starts as well. He is already at Suter's level, but he didn't have Weber anchoring his pairing.

I'd try not to trade him. At 19, he did an incredible job, and we haven't seen him with a more developped body, with experience, etc. I see him becoming a real stud in the next future if he continues like this, a top player in this league, a Selke caliber center who also produces a lot offensively. But no one knows for sure if he'll reach his potential.

I bought my first Flyers jersey in years last season and made it a Couturier jersey, expecting it to be a safe choice....so no one, for a couple years.

G is probably the only safe choice if you are jersey shopping
