At that price, yeah. If they brought him back for a fourth line capacity at a fourth line salary, that'd be fine I think. Then again I'd probably rather just save the cap space and give it to a kid from Abby.

I dunno man they guy proved nothing last year unless flames signed to to a two way 600000 dollar contact to be a fourth line grinder then I'd be ok with it , but I'd rather give his position to a guy like aliu, or Byron
I think they will bring him back. Didn't qualify him because it'd require at least 80% of previous salary (if I remember correctly), which would be about 2m
I still think Comeau can be an effective player. Solid defensively and has the ability to put the puck it, when he's not shooting it wide

Yeah, when. The guy can't hit water if he was shooting off a boat.
I like Comeau, if we can get him signed cheap short-term it would be nice to try him out in a new system. He is fast, hits and does possess some scoring potential. Could be a steal if signed somewhere close to league minimum. I think he would have a hard time getting more than that somewhere else unless a team likes him for some reason and needs to get to the cap floor.
@SUNRandySportak: Flames GM Jay Feaster said the club will try to re-sign Blake Comeau and had talks.
Id take Comeau for as high as 1.5M.
I think he is pretty underrated around here for what he can bring to the table. There is no reason he couldn't have a bounce back year playing 3rd line minutes.

I agree with this too... Towards the end of the year Comeau started to play with a bit of an edge. If he really embraces the idea of becoming a true pest I think he could be a really effective 3rd line player without getting into a ton of penalty trouble (see Jordin Tootoo).
