Do they have to use their first initials? Have there ever been 2 players with the same last name on the same team that didn't use their first initials to differentiate?

I wonder if there's some sort of rule that says you have to.

Teams usually do that so the casual fan can tell the players apart. Carolina is doing the same thing with the Staal brothers.
