I get a warning in the Oilers/Canucks board but here they're free to troll.

Anyways, Luongo and his contract sucks ass. So does the Vancouver Cancuks and the Edmonton oilers. there. ban me until Sept please.
The Flames forum has fewer mods who are less active and who are overall more lenient than the mods in other team forums are. The Flames have two mods while the Canucks have 6 and the Oilers have 9. It comes down to overall traffic I guess and the Flames don't come close to what the Canucks and Oilers achieve.

Yeah, I made a post in a Canucks GDT thread for a Flames game once and it was deleted within about 5 minutes. Haven't been back since.

Get this.

The Islanders offered ALL of their 2012 draft picks to Columbus for #2 overall.

All. Of. Them.

http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=635992

Quote:
How badly did New York Islanders general manager Garth Snow want to move up two spots in this year's NHL Draft? Enough to give up all of his team's picks, according to a report.

Blue Jackets GM Scott Howson selected defenseman Ryan Murray with the second pick Friday night in Pittsburgh, but Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Dispatch reported Monday that the Jackets could've dropped to the No. 4 spot held by the Islanders -- and added six other picks -- if the deal was completed.

The Islanders reportedly offered the Blue Jackets picks Nos. 4, 34, 65, 103, 125, 155 and 185 for just the No. 2 pick. That would have given the Jackets a total of 12 picks -- Nos. 4, 31, 34, 62, 65, 95, 103, 125, 152, 155, 182 and 185.
It's crazy, but I kind of think Columbus should have taken that offer.

Ya I got a warning too but I ripped the oilers fans pretty hard so I deserved it. I was just pissed how they get so excited by being last place, so I ripped into them and then ended with a picture of them losing the cup and at the bottom it said if at first you don't succeed failure must be your style. It was up for about half a minute and then I got a warning.

Not really that crazy of an offer the 5th 6th and 7th rounders aren't worth alot so it was 4th + 2nd rounder + 3rd rounder + 4th rounder for the 2nd. seems like a pretty good offer but not over the top.

What!? That's unbelievable.

The Jackets was smart to sign Murray. The Jackets wouldn't need all those picks in a weak draft.

Peter Mueller getting let go by the Avs

We should absolutely take a chance on this guy. Insanely skilled. Freak injuries last year but I believe he's 100% from his conky

I'd imagine all the 29 other NHL teams will be giving Mueller's agent a call.

With Jokinen, Kosto, Moss, and Stempniak as a FAs, we do have icetime/opportunity to offer though.

Fair deal for both sides. When Pavelec said he was going to get a huge payday, I thought he meant 5 Million+.

Brent Sutter was NOT given the head coaching job in Oil country according to TSN. Ralph Krueger is going to be the next coach. Can't say I blame em.

Doan is not going to get an offer by the Yotes until after the new owner takes over. I'm sure Doan will wait until he hears what the Yotes are willing to offer.

Oilers name Ralph Kreuger as their new head coach.

http://oilers.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=636234

I'm sure you're like me, and the first thing you thought was "Who?" so I provide this snippet:
Quote:
Prior to joining the Oilers, Krueger was most recently the Head Coach of the Swiss National Team. During his tenure from 1997-2010, he advanced the Swiss National Team Program from 15th to 7th in the IIHF World Rankings.

I thought Croz would make more than that. I thought he'd make the league max.

Why would he do that tho? Now they have several million more to spend on other players to make them a better team.

Honestly after about 5 million a year I don't know what I would possibly do with the rest. I like the fact he was a team player and took less than he could get ( I dislike Crosby)
