currently talking about contracts for next season- the b's plan to have knuble, murray and rolston back (i think mcgillis was just overlooked). say they all love it in boston, and the team will consider signing them before the season ends.

also- one of our scouts stopped by to see jon girard, says he's in good spirits. not sure about that follow-up surgery he was supposed to have, but no real timetable on his return.

finally, kutlak might see action soon- either at providence or up in boston.

Very interesting NHL segment...Jeff Gordon makes for an interesting guest because his forte is player development. KPD asked a number of questions on how the Bruins set themselves up with great payroll flexibility for end of current CBA, on Lars Johnson's potential, inconsistent officiating, no-touch icing, dropping the redline, etc.

Interesting also hearing Gordon talk about Kovalchuk and Ovechkin, comparing their styles. He'd done some scouting in Russia recently. And he mentioned that MOC scouted the Remax series and the Bruins apparently liked what they saw of Evseev, even if the Russian team was generally out-classed...kudos to KPD: he asks good questions...

Gordon talked about how Bruins were attracted by his skating ability, heady play, good size and unusual scoring ability in Swedish juniors. He's always thinking offense, pushing the play up ice.

He had a tough time getting ice time until this season because SEL teams tend to play veterans more. Now he is on Leksand's first powerplay unit and getting plenty of ice time...
He's putting up good offensive numbers in the defense-oriented SEL and the Bruins hope to have him signed this summer, but CBA mess may complicate that timetable...They see him quarterbacking the powerplay...because of his skating and booming shot.

I tapped the whole show- or the first hour and half because I was listening to WEEI about the Sox with Mustard and Johnson BUT love that hockey show. I hate cardio workouts but if I'm going to go to the Yotes game tomorrow night and eat my mint choc chip waffle cone and large popcorn I need to 'clear some space' ; and I figure the $10 bucks I drop on junk will go along way to sign our UFA's. If I didn't do this and any of Knuble, Murray, Rolston, McGillis, and even O'D left I'd be guilt riddled.

I'll give my review of the show later....bet you can't wait (eyes rolling guy)

I need to get off my duff and hop on the stationary bike. It'll take weeks to burn off the Thanksgiving feast!

I'm glad you taped it and I'm looking forward to your review. I wasn't taking notes and I've got a selective memory that's selecting less and less as the years slip by...
