Who will be the suitors for Jaromir Jagr?

There hasn't been much talk about which teams will be pursuing Jagr since Dreger announced he was going to free agency.

Who do you think will show interest?

I'd love to see the Bruins make an offer. I could see Krejci having a career year with him and the B's could use some top6 insurance for Horton.

What did Dreger say? I think he re-signs with Philly if you ask me.

I think there are going to be a limited amount of teams that want him, assuming he wants as much money as he can get.

Maybe Buffalo? Pittsburgh? Can't really see him going to too many teams.

I could see NJ being interested on a 1-year deal if they lose Parise

would be interesting to see him a Bruins but i don't see him as a fit under Julien's system. He ismost likely going to end up with the Flyers,Penguins, or Rangers if they can't get Ryan or Nash

Eh, I would rather we go for Shane Doan if he becomes available. We would need a top 6 winger, not sure Jagr can handle that for an 82 game stretch.

Red Wings
Flames

I would love to see the Oil make an offer, especially if we do not re-sign Smyth.

I think he'll stay in the Atlantic Division. If I had to put money on two teams, it'll be the Flyers and Devils.

Don't know why... I just have a gut feeling.

The Islanders. They need to spend $ to get to the cap floor and Jagr needs $$$ to go to the casino.

I would think he'd like to be on a high flying offensive team. He's old now and I think he wants to have fun scoring goals instead of being in a defensive system like the B's or Rags.

He stays with the Flyers IMO. Although I'd love to see him on the penguins next year so I can laugh at all the pens fans who miraculously would love him again

Money. Whoever offers him the most will get him.

Washington would make a lot of sense, can't believe nobody suggested that yet.

Replacement for Semin on a 1year deal

I don't think the Red Wings or the Pens would want to have anything to do with him after last summer.

I'd love it if the B's were able to sign him Bill. First off he's likely not comanding any pay that would be egregious and is probably looking for a one year deal meaning him and Thomas come off the books just in time to resign Horts, Seguin, Marshmont and Looch. It adds even more size and skating ability in the top-6. If Horton can remain healthy it would allow Boston to maybe bump Marchand down to the 3rd line creating IMO what would be one of the best 3rd lines in the league. It also allows the B's youth like Spooner and Knight to spend a year in the AHL.

It would appear to be a match made in heaven. Dunno who is on his list though

Think it is highly unlikely the Rangers would sign him, that ship has sailed.

Absolutely. For the right price, he would be a valuable mentor to the younger players. Wouldn't offer more than one year at $4 million though.
