Anyone live close to an LA Team Store? I NEED this hoodie (in a Large) and it is no where to be found online (la team store/nhl.com/ebay/amazon...):
I would be able to pay via Paypal (item + shipping), I am willing to pay a little more for the inconvenience of going to the store.
Thank you in advance if anyone can help!
OK I heard back from the Team LA store, they will not have these available online at this time...I REALLY NEED ONE, so if someone happens to be going in to the store, can you let me know if they still have them in the store? I am looking for a Large (#32 Quick). It would make me feel better to know that they are in stock in the store...then the mission to find someone to pick one up for me!!
Also, as per Twitter:
"@BaileyLAKings @teamla_store @staplescenterla 20% off all purchases at @TEAMLA_Store code is: SCBAILEY. Good until 7/15. All product!"
I'm getting TWO copies of Crowning Glory (from two different UPS tracking links) and six vintage pins today...and one of those two was on from site I didn't cancel the order fast enough... At least...if my girlfriend didn't find an active site for the book yet...she'll get my extra copy as a birthday present Saturday...
Not quite memorabilia, I think this is appropriate.
A commission I got at Anime Expo yesterday.
Konata is best Kings fan.
Dang, I'm tempted to make a Kings logo, cut it out and paste it on my Konata statuette! By the way, did you see my booth? I wasn't there this time but it's the one with a ton of manga on the tables and a ton of Japanese art books on the racks...
Just a heads up for those interested in purchasing jerseys, they have apparently raised the prices of the premier replica jerseys to $198 in icejerseys.com. Must be due to demand. Luckily I purchased mine before the price hike.
As a hardcore card collector with one of the very best Kings collections in the world (residing right here in LA), I'm looking forward to this:
Last year Upper Deck made these cards and inserted them into their main product.
These cards look and feel exactly like the normal junk common cards in the packs. But they are inserted one every 1000 packs. To give an idea of how nuts that is, there are 24 packs in a $70 box and 12 boxes in a case (about $850 a case, wholesale), thus a case is holding 288 packs. I've been fortunate to open three of them and of course they are all Boston. There are 25 different ones, one for each player on the roster. They range from $80 bucks for a guy like Johnny Boychuk to $200 for Bergeron or Thomas. These are three of the four I opened.
I will be gunning for all of them and as I acquire one, I'll post it on here! Each will have a picture of a King holding the Cup during the one day he gets it!
Also UD has a product called Black Diamond where they put these cards in at about one in three or four boxes:
They go for about 50 bucks each. They're almost 3D where the card is clear acetate plastic and then the ring you see is die cut plastic affixed to the card for a 3D effect. They are very cool to see in person. I'll be getting these as well.
The former I'll have to scour eBay. The latter I will probably open some Black Diamond, get a bunch of the cards and then buy the rest I need off eBay.

Hopefully I can finish before the playoffs start!

Good God, man.
You are quite the collector, but let me ask you, do you own this gem of a hockey card:
does anybody know what the deal is with the unavailability of Kings jerseys right now? Every place I've checked has hardly any or says 6-8 weeks wait. Is this typical when a team wins the Cup? Seems like a huge loss of potential revenue for the NHL/Kings. I'd think they would be producing jerseys hand over fist to capitalize on the Cup fever.

Bandwagon fans drained the already small stock that was availble. The kids in China are working hard.

I probably did, but you just described like a dozen booths or more. lol
