I have forgotten Komisarek a long long time ago.

Funny that you should mention him because Tinordi is as overrated as Komisarek was.

I don't understand how Tinordi can be ranked so high. We're talking about a potential defensive defenseman. Even if he reaches his full potential, he will never be as valuable to the team as an offensive forward or a top 2 defenseman. Proof is that stricly defensive defensemen will almost never make over 4 millions/year. And when they do get high salaries, they are quickly branded as overpaid (Komisarek, Hannan). I love Tinordi, but he is just out of my own top 5.

1- Galchenyuk
2- Beaulieu
3- Leblanc
4- Collberg
5- Gallagher
6- Tinordi
7- Bournival
8- Thrower
9- Kristo
10- Ellis
11- Bozon

I think we all see the impact Chara has on games. Tinordi wont have the offensive impact Chara does, but I do see him as a better skater for his size. You are right, defensive defenseman arent the hottest commodity, but Tinordi has the size and reach most defensive D dont have.

My problem with putting Tinordi as the 2nd best prospect, is that as much as I like him, I don't see how his potentail is as high as Beaulieu. For me it's like saying you liked Komisarek more then Markov, not that I'm comparing them to those two but I see Beaulieu's upside as very high, were as Tinordi I think he'll be a very good NHLer but nothing more then a defensive D that excells on the PK and in his own end. Granted he does move well for such a big body but in the few times i've seen him he appears to have very little offensive upside and not much of a mean streak.

If I don't have a good read on Tinordi I will by this time next year so we'll see. If he is in fact a better prospect than Beaulieu then it's great for us.

Tinordi 8.0B
Beaulieu 8.0C

IMO.
This doesn't make sense to me. How is Beaulieu not even close, it seems like that's way over doing it. I also don't agree that Tinordi is well ahead of Beaulieu in their development curves, I thought both looked good at the Memorial Cup but to me Tinordi is limited in what he can do while Beaulieu can just about do it all.

If I was using the HF rank I'd go with,

Beaulieu 8.5 B
Tinordi 7.5 B

I would love it if Tinordi was anything close to Chara but Chara can do it all and has a lot of nasty to his game. Would be outstanding if Tinordi developed a lot of nasty to his game.

A lot of people thought Tinordi was on his way to becoming a complete bust a year ago. People should give Beaulieu a break, he deserves more than a year too.

Voted Beaulieu, add Dietz.
