We can forget about Dane Fox and Myles Bell who are going to the Rangers dev. camp.

And Clapperton to Philly. I really thought he should have been invited by us. But Nolet has more power evidently.

Came here to post the same thing. Could be a steal. Here is a guy who was a 2nd round OHL pick and at 17 looked like a beast in his first few games this season before the ACL went. He missed the entire season and is no doubt off the development pace and a longer term project, but could be huge rewards. A slightly bigger Gorges type.

As for Iafrate, he doesn't have highest hockey IQ, but I'm also shocked no one took him. Played big minutes in Kitchener's top-4 in an impressive playoff run. Has size, toughness and skates like the wind.

Does anyone know at what time we can see our young guys on saturday? Is it the same as for the 1st part of the development camp?

Thanks.

Expected, and really happy for the guy. He's a battler in front of his net. Not the biggest guy but should be one of the best in the 'Q next year.

I'd like Iafrate to be invited. In those kind of situation you can get the big aggressive guys left out of the draft.

Is there any big forwards who love to fight that was left out of this draft?

Parker Milner would have been great for our goalie search....but the Boston kid was invited by....Boston. I mean....we have to have the greatest arguments to attract goalies to come here like....WE HAVE NO GOALIES IN THE POOL!!!!Mayer and Delmas are totally disposable. Okay, maybe Delmas would be fine as a #2 in the AHL....but we do much better.

Forget about Makarov too who's going in Florida.

I like the Matthew Lane tryout. He did well in the U18 USA goal medal winning team, 3rd in scoring. Brampton Battalion have his rights in the OHL. If he impresses I wouldn't be surprised if we sign him and send him to junior.

We'll see what this Lane is all about. Don't get the Oligny invitation but he surely impressed them at the Habs combine 'cause he was there and is coming back now. I obviously would have love to see more people like 1 or 2 on my list buy hey, it's every year the same....

Will be attending Thursday or Friday, we'll see.

Happy with it as well after also seeing a couple of those Team USA U-18 games. Totally forgot he went undrafted this weekend. Here's a profile: http://www.collegehockeyprospective....-matthew-lane/

Pribyl being at this type of camp for the 2nd time in 2 weeks is intriguing to me...is he coming over to the CHL? Did the staff see something they did not like the last time he was here in June?

With 12 skaters there, hopefully that is enough to scrimmage 3 vs 3.

These are some of the worst invitees I've ever seen. WTF? Lane impressed me at the U18 but other than that, it's terrible. Maybe Marcoux but seriously. They should send those invitations faster because it looks to me like they missed out on a lot.

Somehow, I'll choose to believe that with a new group of people in place, we should be more aggressive in that regard in future years. With more Habs related personnel on the road, while it might not be their first job, they surely could suggest a couple of other names to bring in camps.

But I guess that they want to reserve this 2nd camp to their prospects they just picked and concentrate on them. Yet, I also believe that there are a couple of names that we missed as well.

Maxime Lagace is one of the goalies attending the U-20 Canada camp, so he cant obviously be that bad of a goalie?

Pribyl attending twice is intriguing. Either they are showcasing him for a CHL team or are contemplating signing him and using him in Hamilton this season?

Oligny is a lot like Thrower, but smaller and not quite as skilled on offense...but he is feisty and ballsy. Bigger version of Bouillon.

The import draft is tomorrow, a day before this camp begins, so that would probably not be the reason unless something is already worked out between a CHL team and Pribyl.

That's it but they`d have to be doing the Habs a favour (or $$$) because honestly he`d play for them 1 season and who knows how good he would be transitioning to NA ice. He wasn't picked last year so I'm not holding my breath.

Also there is no NHL agreement with the Czech leagues, Habs would have to compensate Praha. So I think we can rule out signing him a year before his Czech contract expires.

I'm pretty sure the Habs can compensate them, they have the money to do it.

Sure but I don't see the point. I'd actually rather see them *ahem* compensate a Q team so he adjusts to NA there and then joins Hamilton.

the best way to do it would be like Engqvist, sign him and leave him there one more year as it would be hard to get him ice time in Hamilton with the young crop of forwards. Unless ECHL is an option.

Not to mention Pribyl would be an overager. I think he stays with the Sparta Praha then comes to the AHL next season. I think the 2nd invite is the Habs management trying to get a good look at him and evaluate whether he's worth a contract or not.

If he has a shot as an overage Euro the onlt team I could see it with would be maybe Sherbrooke, they are allowed to have 5 20 year olds this year and it's doubtful they can draft two high end 17-18 year old Euros(Moncton has their 1st pick, #1 overall), so grabbing a guy like that to help put butts in the seats and pressure off the 16 and 17 year olds would be a solid addition.
