Stajan is a better C than Cammy, not sure how people can even argue otherwise.

Stajan is our best C on faceoffs aswell, you keep him with Iggy and Tanguay and at least we have a better chance of starting off with the puck during O zone faceoffs.

If you put Cammy at C again between Tang and Iggy it's going to be the exact same problem with our big guns getting pinned in our own zone.

I wouldn't mind putting Stajan on the 2nd line with Cervenka and Glenncross. (But then, it leaves the 3rd line pretty soft with Baertschi-Backlund-Comeau)

I say Stajan is a better centerman than Cammy, only because of his face-off stats. If we win a face-off in the offensive zone, the play changes completely, as does winning a face-off in the defensive zone.

We need Stajan on the 1st/2nd line, if we want to win more face-offs. Besides, I think Stajan could keep up on par with the first two lines.

I actually really like that lineup. How much do you think we could offer and get Samuelsson?

Didn't Sammuelsson sign in the KHL for next season or something like that?

Not from what I can find.

Doesn't matter, I don't really want him anyways.

Pretty sure he did.

I would love to get Wideman though, but I think he will get around 5.5 on the open market. Not sure if I would be willing to cough that up.

good two way dman. right handed shot. all star. seems like he would mesh well with jaybo. what's not to like? 5.5 mil seems justifiable for a guy who could really help the flames... especially in a win-now mode.

Fair enough, I guess its the term I am more concerned about. I would do a 4 year 22-23million contract.

Veteran player. Fellow countryman of Backlund, could really help his development. Adds scoring depth. Not sure why you wouldn't want him. PLus it allows the flames young stars to continue their development in the AHL before being rushed to quickly.

Mueller in a 3rd line role isnt as effective as Sammuelsson. But Mueller over Stempniak on the 2nd line would be cool. I just worry about his injuries. He's like Moss... get the bubble wrap ready,

Wideman wouldn't be my first choice for that kind of money though. Sooner go after colliacovo or rozsival

Your gonna throw that kind of money at Rozsival or Colliacovo??? Those two are borderline top 4 at this point in time.

I don't know if Wideman could handle top line minutes required in Calgary. But I'm all for seeing what a RH shot looks like with Bouwmeester.

He played top minutes in Washington and had a great season, should be able to handle it here.

IMO, Wideman makes TOO MUCH sense for Calgary, it's a perfect match.... the flames should def get this guy. It's a no-brainer... but what do I know, I'm only a fan.

Hmm forgot about Bart. But that 3rd looks right, Just move AA and Jones down. I was only predicting the top six anyways as the bottom six can be any combination really.

Yeah, but he'll have tougher minutes in CGY, WSH has good depth on their blue line.
