Colin Long signed with Düsseldorfer EG according to Eliteprospect
Man, Colin Long looked like such a good player in the WHL. I was sure he would have played some NHL games by now.

Good to know! Also it's been confirmed by his agent.

Just a thought.
Nope, actually. It's a poster in the KHL thread who's generally pretty reliable says that both Juraj Mikuses have signed with Lev Praha.

I spoke too soon I guess haha

Per eliteprospects (and this foreign link: http://www.hokejportal.net/?q=clanok...ev-praha/40594) it does appear as though you are right, and both Juraj Mikuses (or Juraj Miki) are signed to HC Lev Praha.

Per Elite Prospects, Sebastian Erixon, whose contract was terminated by Anaheim last week, has signed with Timra of the Elitserien. Erixon, 22, 1 goal and 8 points in 30 games with Chicago of the AHL before his rights were traded at the deadline from Vancouver to Anaheim for Andrew Gordon. Erixon was never drafted and is an UFA.

Per Elite Prospects, Craig Schira who recently went unqualified by Ottawa making him an UFA, has signed with Frisk Asker of Norway. Schira, 24, had 4 goals and 13 points in 73 games with Binghamton of the AHL last season. Schira was never drafted.

News1130 is reporting Jordin Tootoo turned down a sizeable 3 year deal and will hit the market.

They are also reporting coach AV's favorite player in the world before Gragnani arrived (Rome) has not received a call from the Canucks just like Ebbett and Bitz and will also hit the market.

Canucks seem to be trying to free up roster spots and contract slots. Hmm maybe they plan on taking a couple extra contracts in a Lou trade?

Rome Bitz and Ebbett all had spots on the team as 12/13 fowards and 5-7 d-man.

And he didn't move them at the deadline...why? I'd be pissed if I was a Carolina fan. Allen could've garnered a 2nd+ at the deadline. If he wouldnt sign an extension then, he probably wasn't going to

FTR, I will amend/edit the UFA/RFA list with who did or didn't get Qualifying Offers sometime later tonight (hopefully) after all the QOs trickle in. For more info on who did/didn't get qualifying offers check the 'All Purpose Qualifying Offers' thread!

No kidding, that's just poor asset management.

Allen would have gotten a 2nd.

Renaud Lavoie tweeted that the Lightning and Benoit Pouliot might be close to an agreement,

No, he kept him because he wanted to try and re-sign him and wanted to retain his rights as long as possible. Sometimes that works out, sometimes it doesn't. Not getting a late 2nd round pick (which probably has less than a 20% chance of yielding an NHL regular) isn't as bad as most HF'rs like to portray it to be.

Usually, JR doesn't sign extensions mid season so this was really new territory for him by signing Gleason and Ruutu that way.

are you able to sign a player to a contract that takes you over the cap during the off season? Hypothetically if you hadnt received the right deal yet to make room for that ufa player...

Yeah, most off-season there's a certain % of buffer space over the cap they can go. I'm not sure if that still applies with no CBA in place next season since we don't really know what the cap will be next seasons at the moment. But I think they operate under the status quo until September-ish.

Per Elite Prospects, Corey Locke who played for Binghamton of the AHL while under contract to the Ottawa Senators has signed with TPS of the SM-liiga. Locke, 28, had 10 goals and 41 points in 38 games in the AHL last year. He was originally a 4th round pick, 113th overall, in 2003 by Montreal. He is scheduled to be an UFA on July 1st.

The Sharks released their qualifying offers and who were not qualified and seeing as Justin Braun, Andrew Desjardins and Tommy Wingels were on neither list, it's inferred that all three have signed extensions with San Jose.

And just as soon as I finish that update and Shane O'Brien, the Canadiens re-sign Ryan White 1 year, 1-way at $687,500, per Bob McKenzie.

Per Elite Prospects, Andreas Enqvist, who split last season between Montreal and Hamilton of the AHL, has signed with Atlant Mytishchi of the KHL. Engqvist, 24, had 0 points in 12 games with Montreal along with 20 goals and 43 points in 60 games with Hamilton. An undrafted free agent signing by the Canadiens, after being qualified by Montreal yesterday, Engqvist will become a RFA on July 1st, therefore the Canadiens will retain his rights while he plays overseas.

Per a poster in the KHL thread (who has a source I can't read!), Evgenii Dadonov has signed with Donbass of the KHL. Dadonov, 23, split last season between San Antonio (20 GP, 5 G, 9 PTS) and Charlotte (35 GP 3 G 19 PTS) of the AHL, along with 15 games with Florida (2 G 1 A) before being traded to Carolina along with A.J. Jenks for Jonathan Matsumoto and Mattias Lindstrom. Dadonov was a 3rd round pick, 71st overall, of the Panthers in 2007. After being qualified by the Hurricanes on Monday, Dadonov will be a RFA on July 1st, therefore Carolina will retain his rights while he plays overseas.
