Wow, he has spent two full years rehabbing a knee injury.

I have every confidence that Shep will secure a spot on that team...

You guys laugh. He's going to run a monopoly on popcorn and soon be the vendor in every single arena. Shep will buy the Coyotes, move them to Hamilton, and name them the Poppers.

That does seem pretty long - especially for a professional athlete.

Beuatiful, NHL1674. The only thing I'd add:
I am a fan of classic big-eared trophies like the English FA Cup:
Could you work Shep's ears onto that sucker?
I think that would be a trophy worthy of the name, although yours is AWESOME!

Well, they had to do the surgery a second time, many months after the first time.
I hope they send him to the AHL. I personally think it is his only chance to find his game and his confidence, if they can be found at all.

Unless they give him a decent sized, multi-year contract, he will not clear waivers.

He hasn't played hockey in two years, and had a horrible year the year before that in the NHL. For what SJ paid for him, they can take that chance.

It's not "taking a chance." He will not clear waivers.

That's exactly why GMDW didn't want to take the risk to play Sheppard in the NHL last season.

I can't tell if you're agreeing or disagreeing with me here.

All of them.
As Fel pointed out, GMDW already refused to put Sheppard in the AHL because he knew that he would not clear waivers. It's really not that complicated a situation.

I'm trying to find the link I posted on the Sharks board in March.
Will post it here if I find it.
EDIT:
Sheppard won't play for Sharks this season

man...i just accidentally loaded the wrong Be A Pro file and out of curiosity played a game against the wild (i was a left wing drafted by the Yotes). Second line was Latendresse-Sheppard-Bouchard. :'(
