Wow, come on guys. I LOVE Tinordi but I see him as the 4th best prospect. Leblanc is the better prospect at the moment. Leblanc is only a year older than Tinordi and he played very well in the minors and had respectable stats for a young player in his situation last year in the NHL.

Great Depth on D

Gotta love our D in a few years:

Subban, Gorges,Emelin

Want toughness: Tinordi, Thrower

Want Puck movers: Beaulieau, Ellis

Thrown in Bennett and Dietz.

With Price in goal, definately building from the back.

Brighter days ahead fellow Habs fan!!!

Voted Collberg once again, upside is much higher than Tinordi or Leblanc.

His upside is Guy Carbonneau.. with a bit less intangibles.

Tinordi , potential future captain gets bonus points from me

captain team usa, captain long knights in only his 2nd year

leadership counts for something and i love that hes going to be the guy in charge of the D over even subban, beaulieu and ellis .....it just all depends on what captain kelowna has to say about it

So Leblanc is going to be #4 at best?

The guy played a handful of games in the NHL last year and looked like he belonged. He is the most likely to make the team this year and have some impact. I get the crazy enthusiasm for Galchenyuk, I voted for him too, but this getting a bit silly.

Leblanc has to prove he can be a scorer. 23 points in Harvard, 58 points in the Q, 22 in the AHL, 10 in the NHL.

IMO, he needs a season in the AHL to find his scoring touch and develop it. Only then can we have an accurate reading on his potential as a prospect. As it stands right now, he hasnt been able to play two consecutive seasons in the same league.

42 NHL games is more then a handful , and ur right it seems a lil strange the kid with the most NHL experience could be potentially ranked 4th

but it doesnt mean hes 100% NHL READY, ..bit more games in hamilton could do wonders for him, ESPECIALY with the crop of prospects coming into hamilton next year, .. id just rly liked to see him excel with that group and lead them in scoring, would be a treat

I think the question for me, is while I do like Louis Leblanc as a player, will he be anything more than a 3rd line player? I think he could be a very solid 3rd liner, but do we really see him as a top 6 guy for the future?

Of course time will tell, as it's still wayyy early in his career, but even when he was drafted he was never really viewed as a top line guy. The Mike Richards comparisons weren't really fair, IMO.

I just don't really see the offensive upside, at this point.

Well I would hope Leblanc is the furthest along of the guys in question considering he's the oldest.

But yeah, he's basically a lock to be an NHLer at this point, the question is upside. I think he has 2nd line potential, but I don't think he has the offensive tools of anyone in question except Tinordi, who offers a more unique skillset.

For me Leblanc is the 5th best prospect behind Collberg. I know others will disagree with me but for finesse players I'd go with the guy who has a higher offensive upside, even if Leblanc is a more complete talent. For what it's worth there's a drop off after 5th in the prospect pool, so it's not like I think Leblanc is a bad prospect by any means, and could very well have a better career than even Galchenyuk.

In fact, he played for 5 different teams in 5 different leagues in the last 4 years.

But I too feel he's a bit underrated. He wasn't doing much late in the season when he was obviously gazed out, but when he was in his game the talent was obvious. I would let him start in the AHL and then bring it up again Patches style.

Also, Leblanc could easily jump up in the rankings for me if I knew how bulked up he will be at the start of the season. Does he still weight 180 lbs? He had an excuse last year and it's nice to see him look like he belongs in the NHL even while physically overmatched, but he started last season the same weight Collberg is right now despite the height and age difference.

Plus playing in 5 leagues in 4 years at radically different levels of play makes it hard to get a grip on just what his offensive potential is.

Voted Tinordi

Add Vail, Bennett, Hudon

Remove Avstin, Leblanc (because not everyone considers him a prospect and we would look dumb if we end up ranking him ninth).

Tinordi, no questions asked. Physical specimen with character and mobility ; could become a defensive wall !

Gonna get trickier in the next round

Collberg has been compared to ex-Hab Michael Cammalleri, as well as Patrick Kane, he's gotta be no.3

Leblanc is still a prospect, he's not an established NHLer. And why remove Avtsin?

WTK is going by the Hockey's Future definition of a prospect. If you don't like it, don't participate.

Its not his fault. But as it stands, he hasnt dominated a league offensively since he was drafted.
