Give him some time to mature, I think this kid will surprise with his grit & leadership within a few years.

When I say surprise I don't mean scoring points.

I agree with this. Like someone else, he still needs to polish is defensive game by quite a bit.

Neil no need to write his size we all know he's tough as nails.............. he doesn't need boxing lessons he needs a really tough guy on his line, but he's so crazy he'd still go after the other team's tuff guy, and i think he did not look bad at all against these behemoths

Good signing. One of the few Habs on the roster with any balls. Hopefully Bergevin adds more toughness, Therrien always plays a heavyweight, and it's something Bergevin said he'd address. Nasty defenseman, Moen and fourth liner to come hopefully.

How is that being negative?

He tells thing as it is. White is and should be a 4th line player. In the new NHL, top 9 players should bring offense, White don't give you that.

But he has heart, and he fights.

Does Eller bring you that? No.

White > Eller when he doesn't fight and doesn't score

Some people don't seem to remember that Ryan White is a good hockey player who just happens to be able and willing to fight. He's not top 6 material and probably not top 9 either on most teams, but put him with Moen and any 4th line winger who can handle the puck at a respectable level, and you'll see a pleasant and slightly unexpected amount of 4th-line scoring.

There was an interview with him on the team 990 I think, or CJAD, or whatever. Anyone know when they put it up on their site ?

The team could be hard to play against if they had more Ryan White in it. Could be a Darcy Tucker class sht disturber if things go our way.

The thing that worries me with White: I find him to be slow. IMO, he has to improve this to be more than a 4th liner, because he does have other good assets.

Pretty sure he was spotted working on his skating already this summer.
