The names were added in the main post before I posted the addition, so see the first post. Actually, since then, I've added a bunch more to that post as well, including more links and dates, in addition to the original roster links.

The Q invite was from a Q fan msg board, now confirmed from the ontheforecheck blog. Sorry, thought I had that link included when I typed out the ontheforecheck sourcing, but obv. left off by mistake, so here it is. I source info! Also, I'm not going to add a new post every time I add to the first post. Reference there for the links and names of FA invites and camp dates for known info.

Ha, after typing that, Anaheim posted a release so Anaheim added, 4 invites, again see first post.

Thanks to everyone contributing!

Red Wings Camp Roster posted http://redwings.nhl.com/club/news.ht...id=DL|DET|home

The non drafted guys attending are:

Michael Babcock - Coach's son?
Dean Chelios - Chris' son
Jake Chelios - Chris' son
Luke Glendening - AHL contract
Kellan Lain
Gleb Koryagin
Travis Novak
Ted Pletsch
Vladislav Shalimov
Parker Miller

The rest are prospects drafted by the Wings the last few years. I believe only 3 of the listed above were actually 2012 draft eligible (Babcock, Koryagin and Shalimov)

It appears that Kellan Lain has been invited to both the Nashville and Detroit camps. The Nashville camp ends July 1 and the Detroit camp begins July 7 so it is feasible to attend both.

So apparently the Canucks are inviting the whole world to their prospect camp. Doesn't hurt I guess.

Thanks for the heads up about Detroit; checked yesterday evening before it posted. Yes, it says in the release that it is Babcock's son.

Yes, typically the last few years there have been some players attending more than one camp, not many but it happens.

Actually two on the list, Milner is listed on Boston's camp roster, too.

Edit: Which re-reading your post it sounds like you understand.

Babcock isn't eligible to be drafted until next year's draft.

Good catch, I didn't read the rest of that comment about eligibility.

Also, back to Walker, he’s a ‘94 and played last season in Czech Extraliga, therefore, he falls under the same rules Hyka did last summer, so my understanding is that the Caps couldn’t sign him this summer; he’ll be back in the draft next summer.

Doesn't look like any of the rookie tournaments will be happening this year because of the CBA.

The tournaments in September.

I've seen only one officially cancelled, the Young Stars Tournament, one including Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Winnipeg.

A lot of posturing related to the CBA so it's hard to know about some of the others at this time.

Note, a team holding rookie camp at its own facility doesn't need as much lead time as the larger multi-team tournaments held in a different location.

According to the Pens beat writer the tournament they usually attend has be cancelled.

As of now, I don't see any FAs on Columbus' roster.

Make that two camps for Houser, per London Free Press writer Pyette, he's headed to Florida's camp, too. So Makarov and Houser at Florida's camp.

adding Florida's info. now

What has happened before was that players that went through the draft and not selected have been invited to camps. There is a small window where you can sign the player to one of your 50 contracts. I don't remember the window time frame but Andrew Crescenzi was signed this way from Kitchener by the Leafs.

Please see the discussion further up in this thread; it has to do with player's age, as well as where they played hockey last season. Also, note the Hyka situation with the Flyers last summer.

It happens. One of the Lerg's did three one year (Buffalo was the middle one). Bryan maybe?

Pretty sure it was Bryan, Buffalo and Washington, IIRC, left one camp a day early to go to the other.

Three already known for this year.

sk8, are you going to add Joyaux to the Caps, or was that bad info?

Saw the Wade Murphy invite on twitter, too, will add it.

Fraser Rodgers ‏@VeesVoice

"Correction @wmurphy93 will attend @NHLFlames Prospect Camp July 9-13 in Calgary not Kamloops. Thanks to @gdrinnan for the heads up"

It's speculation, nothing close to confirmation; might just be a workout camp where they live. I'm keeping an eye on it; I debated even posting what I did.

He was such a painfully awful player in Fargo. He was good for a completely moronic two minute penalty every game and would drop the gloves on occasion and still get worked by 5'11" kids. UMass gets a lot of bottom of the barrell USHL players and he's a great example.
