No pressed with fireworks, just a one on one with Stavros Tambellini.

Nice and intimate, just the way you all like it.
Let's hope this is the next stage in development as promised. Renney was used in the initial phase in The Rangers org. And now here in Edmonton. Not a very fun role when it comes to winning.

As I've said, I don't really have a problem with this hire, I want to see what this guy can do with this team in a full time capacity.
And for what it's worth the Kids are said to be excited by this hire. And for everyone who pissed and moaned about Mac-T and his lack of motivation, I can't see that being a problem with Krueger.
Plus, his brother can always haunt your dreams, so there's that.

So, Stauffer expects Buchberger and Smith to return as assistants. I wonder if Tambellini and Lowe gave Krueger a choice to choose his own assistants.

Good to know that playoffs won't be happening this year.
30th place, 29th place as associate coach, promotion.
Fired from team-- promoted to vice president
Run the oilers into the ground --promoted to president.
Current gm has the worst record post lockout -- still has a job
This organization is a ****ing joke.

That's what absolutely every one expected. I can hardly wait to see our 1st botched defenceman line change that leads to a clean cut breakaway and a goal or forcing a monster save. (Which only happened about 10 times last year, out right costing us a couple of games.)

Absolutely!
Everyone knows that one assistant coach is solely responsible for the outcome of an NHL team's entire season.
Great point!

Interesting, so when things start going well, you going to jump back on then?
I would bet there's a BIT more to all of then then you're suggesting, but hey whatever works for you.

I do like the fact that he's emphasizing details. He's right; details are what makes the difference.
Let's see if he can apply that successfully.

A bit of more of what? This team rewards failure.

He was hired 10 minutes ago. Maybe seems longer, but it's almost as if he hasn't had a chance yet.

Yup we are, but that's sort of the nature of this, isn't it?

Any summary of the presser for those of us who can't listen would be appreciated.

Exactly. How many welfare picks does this team need?
How many coaches? How many presidents?
How long will people believe in these guys?

So obviously Sutter was the right hire then because he's been so successful.
This is like saying you're not going to see a movie because you didn't like the 2 seconds you saw of the trailer.

I haven't yet read his suggestion for the new coach, but it would be interesting to see, and the justification.

Kruegar wants to focus on details and clear and direct communication. The majority (if not all of the staff) will stay on, however they're going to talk to all the assistants and development crew about their roles.
Nothing earthshattering, they just pumped him tires based on the improvement on the PP and talking about wanting to make improvements NOW as well as for the long term.
