You can see the future? Can you tell me who wins the Stanley Cup so I can place my bet now? I bet it's the Flames!

Awesome!

He's had some success with teams that weren't in the mix at all. Swiss (not NHL but he's had some time to learn some ropes here as well). Really happy with this announcement.

I disagree give the guy a chance as hc he will have his own style and provide it rather then implementing renneys style

So who's the right hire? Do you know? It's easy to crap on something, but do you have an alternative?

And don't tell me Marc Crawford.

I seem to remember Kruger being behind the bench when we blew out the Flames 6-1 in Calgary...

I'm not to sure why "waiting until now" to hire him is being pointed out so much...

Wasn't there a draft or something a few days ago?

Ralph just said that Yakupov may play both wings and Hall will be given a shot at center.

Oh man you guys are in for a rude awakening. Kruger is not all that different from renney in fact he praised him for teaching him in press conference.

Tambellini refused to confirm or deny any upcoming meeting with Schultz, he just said he was interested in signing him.

Yeah, I rolled my eyes pretty hard at that dodge when everyone knows they're going to go meet him.

How about a guy that hasn't co-coached a team to last and second place?

How about a specific name? That shouldn't be hard, right?

You're doing a great Tambo impression of dodging questions.

I'll hold off judgement until I see a season with Ralph behind the bench.

Calgary is such a power team...

I also remember renney behind the bench when we pounded Chicago, but I also remember us getting pounded with him behind the bench in fact we still were a last place team

In summary that Calgary game means nothing.

Great news for the Oilers.
A solid respected leader, an inspirational coach with years of coaching lesser talents to success. I have a feeling our true talent (the kids) will be seeing a hell of a lot more ice this year in every situation. I look forward to watching PRV get a chance in the top 6, and play with the talent needed to support his skillset.
Happy times.....

Did Krueger say what sort of style he wants the team to play?

I hate to break it to you but we never "3 peat 30th"... Just sayin'.Krueger was in charge of the special teams last year. Look where our PP finsihed in the league if you want any reference for Kruegers resume going forward. Don't be so ignorant as to not even giving him a chance.

Attacking and disciplined. Everyone has to buy in, and veterans must be receptive of new roles and be able to develop their game accordingly.
