Speaking of Drury, I had to do a car swap up in Norwich this past Saturday and on the way back, I stopped in Stamford and went to Colony Grill (Drury's place). It was damn good.
ok i'll quit "boohooing" and you can quit whining and lecturing... deal?
You barely defended your busted Mueller deal, where you magically insert #s he has yet to attain in full health.
Hence the term "upside."

We lost to NJD over depth. The coach said it, the whole org. knows it!
They had no plan after Nash, and it cost them. there were depth moves made in Feb-deadline, we didn't have to end up with john scott! we could have at least gotten a vet defenseman.
So we should have paid the absurdly high asking prices on pylons like Zanon and Kubina? How about 3 more years of Tom Gilbert at $4m a pop? Maybe I was watching the wrong deadline, but there wasn't exactly an abundance of depth d-men available.

I advocate pursuing real top line talent through FA or trade. i'll move Dubinsky or MDZ in order to do it, you won't. You want broken players, I don't. you're afraid of mistakes.
You'll move Dubinsky? Way to go out on a limb. I never said I wouldn't move Dubinsky, and I've already said before that I'd be willing to move Del Zotto in the right deal, just not as some throw-in in a package deal for a guy like Nash. I also specifically mentioned moving Stepan as a poor decision. Yet you've said you wouldn't let Stepan get in the way of acquiring Bobby Ryan.
I also said I would explore the trade market later in the summer or after camp to see if more options opened up. Granted, it's probably easier to argue against points I never made.

Let's see which direction management goes in this Sunday.
I guarantee you it won't be yours...
Ah yes, because we all know that being in agreement with our management always plays out so well.
Not only that, but the answer to "what happens if you bring on a guy with a long injury history (like Mueller) and he gets hurt again?"
is you're in the exact same spot you started, with minimal risk attached to the acquisition. Sounds like a good idea to me given the current UFA and trade environments.
If you read between the lines, what I really said is, "Mueller is the only possible option! Trades are bad! I'm afraid of change!"
If that is any indication of this year's market Prust may get his $2.5M.

There has to be LSD in the water in Calgary. It's just a steady stream of idiocy, and the only players who can survive are superman Iginla, ageless Kipper, and crazy-eyes Jokinen.
Sutter got canned and ended up winning the cup. Maybe someone should trade for Jay-Bo and he'll end up winning a Norris.
Wideman will get $5.5M. Carle will get big money. Suter will get a blank check. That is all of what's left in the free agent market. FLA offered $3M-$3.5M to Garrison. Carle wants to sign in the west. Colorado. Philly wants him back.
