Not really. If we're moving an asset like Ennis, the only players on the Stars roster I'd interested in are Benn and Eriksson, who are probably the only 2 untouchables in the Stars forward group. I just don't think there's a deal there. A trade chip like Hodgson or Ennis would, imo, have to be reserved for use only in a deal for a young top 6 player like Ryan.

Not for Ennis.

Ennis only gets moved for a bonafide young top line talent. Basically, the only guy right now on the market who I'd consider moving Ennis for is Bobby Ryan.

If you want Ennis, it has to be part of a deal for Benn or Eriksson. Those are the only two players from the Stars I would even think of moving Ennis for.

This.

Ennis is not yet 23yo, has a ton of offensive skill, and has positional flexibility that they can still use moving forward in the event of injury.

The only way he gets moved is if they can get a better young player in return.

Ott and Morrow aren't young players that will add to the Sabres young core.

If the Stars move their 1st in 2013(pretty much a lottery pick) in a trade for Derek Roy I will shoot myself.

lol I don't blame you, but we're optimistic about these kinds of things after landing a first for Gaustad.

It mainly depends on how a team views their prospect pool. Dallas can't afford to give up firsts right now. Nashville on the other hand, is loaded down with young guys on cheap contracts. They also felt that they could supplement with 2nd round+ picks, which they did by picking up Sissons and Aberg.

^^ True. And they were also loading up for a deep run in the playoffs. Dallas probably value their picks much more highly since they're building to win in the future more than they're building to win now.
