Pretty good stuff so far. Combs will be good for 10 goals at least, possibly 20. That's not bad for 1.25. Plus he hits and skates well

I love this signing to be honest, he reminds me so much of Glencross that it is worth the chance to see what he becomes.

I would rather the Flames had let him walk. I hope he makes me eat crow.

Kudos to Comeau for rejecting the 2 year deal originally offered (He out-GM'd Feaster there), and choosing a 1 year deal to prove himself.

Yeah me too, well, you know... Minus the offense.

Actually Comeau broke 30 points before Glencross did and 40. I am willing to gamble that last year was a down year and he cam become a 30-40 point player.

Meh.

Figures that sums up my feelings on the deal pretty well.

I'm a Comeau fan.

He's coming back at half the price.

He's fast and big. We need that.

I like the fact that Comeau only wanted a 1 year deal. Shows he likes the city/team and feels he has more to give.

How was he for you guys last season? Did he do that thing a lot where he enters the zone and circles around the back of the net only to do absolutely nothing with the puck? Was he lazy?

I wanted to like the guy when he was on the Island but he was always extremely lazy/inconsistent. The only positive of his game was he hits a decent amount and that fluke 20+ goal season.

Good on the PK and pretty physical. Nothing else.

Yes . Circle the back of the net and circle towards the side boards.

I wouldn't say he was lazy. Very stupid and inconsistent, but never lazy.

He's no longer getting paid like a 20 goal scorer, so that isn't my expectation. He is really setting out to prove himself, but then again, so did Kotalik, Hagman, etc.

I don't think he was lazy here at all. His problem was that he would always enter the o-zone on the perimeter, and get forced to shoot wide from 30 feet out before getting pinched. His problem was he hardly ever could cut to the net. I have a feeling if he had someone feeding him passes like Bartschi for example, he could easily hit 20 again.

I will add he always seems to put himself into good scoring positions but man is his shot inaccurate as ****.

The main thing I dislike about Comeau is that he looks like a lost puppy in the offensive zone when carrying the puck. You can tell he has the ability, but I would guess that his main issue is confidence. Hopefully his game shows some strides this season.

And yes his circling drives us all crazy here in Calgary to.

But on the bright side I would rather have the "20 goal scorer" in Comeau then Moss.

Agreed. I like the signing, I really don't see how anyone can hate on this. I mean, he's everything you could possibly want from a 3rd liner including the contract. He won't be any worse than he was last year, and if he comes out and plays his game he may be a pleasant surprise.

I don't mind it at all either, I like him he just can't finish but neither could Moss. His talent level is higher and he does have a hard shot. Moss had a god damn muffin.

I totally agree, but I'm seriously laughing my a** so hard right now reading your description of him.

Mostly because its true!

"Moss skates in zone, winds up to take the shot... MOSS UNLEASHES A MUFFIN AT THE GOALIE"
