Actually Penner could be a great addition to our top 6.

It would be funny seeing him and Desharnais side by side.

I'm interested in what he could bring to our third line, not keen about overpaying him for the stanley cup hype, UFA status + Montreal condition tho'.

Penner for 4 Millions/2 years = Absolutely
Penner for 10 millions/3 years = Absolutely not

I watched every LA Kings playoff game, and my personal opinion is, he wasn't playing soft. But what do i know ???

He was off-and-on during the playoffs, and injured off-and-on this year. Also had personal problems much of the year reportedly.

Since he's arrived in LA, he's been pushed off the puck pretty easy, and has camped out on the perimeter.

Until these playoffs where he went to the net regularly. Still not the strongest on the boards for his size.

I'd say no.

Also Plekanec is no Richards, so Penner-Pleks-Gionta would be pretty pathetic imo.
