I decided to do NHL comparisons on all players I've seen who were drafted to maritime teams. I have already done Moncton's on their thread, and I will do SJ's, PEI's, and Halifax's on their threads. I will post Bathurst and Cape Bretons here. I will be doing Bathurst shortly.

Acadie Bathurst Drafted Players NHL Comparisons

McDonald- I dont know why, and again I am not that good at looking at goalies, but I think his size, stature and the way he plays is like Carey Price. Strong mentally, great vision, always knows what is going to happen around him. He is also great at controlling the puck. That side of his game reminds me of good 'ol Marty Brodeur
Gallant- His comparison would be Alex Semin of the Caps. Great shot, great hands, fast when he wants to be, but sometimes lazy and sometimes seems disinterested, not too mention he is not very involved defensively.
Blanchard- Blanchard is a sniper. His skating is average at best but he does have a nose for the net. I would compare him to Brassard from Columbus.
Doucet- Doucet is a guy who I have not seen much of. From what I've seen, he's a solid defenseman. Good two-way guy who doesn't play overly physical. I kind of think of him as a guy like Chris Phillips myself.
Fiore- I honestly never seen this guy play. But from what a guy I know from Montreal had said is that he has decent size, pretty good scorer, and isn't afraid to throw the body around a bit. So from that, I would compare him to James Neal.
Nazarian- I have never seen this guy play and have never heard of him.
Leblanc- Never seen him.
St-Hilaire- Never seen him.
Robichaud- Never seen him.
Bernard- Bernard plays a good offensive game and will occasionally get physical. With almost 2 points per game (41 in 21), and 74 PIMs, this guy is certainly someone to watch for next season whether he plays Jr A or another year of MAAA. I would compare him to something like Corey Perry. Bernard is a solid power forward. I really like this kid. Underrated pick.
Charest- Seen some of him. Solid goalie, but a bit undersized as of goalie standards. Pretty calm in the net and the kid has pretty good vision and movement. I'd compare him to something like Jimmy Howard.
Hegarty-*Never seen him.

Im still shocked to see MacDonald slip into the 2nd round. He could really be the steal f the draft , imo. Surprised that Saint John didnt use one of their picks on him, must have been extremely high on Olivier LeBlanc... But they did get a very , very good player in Highmore. Highmore is going to be a force at 18 and 19 years old.

Is there a chance that Tyler Kelleher will come in the CHL (RIM)?
He was in front of Kerdiles and Matteau in terms of stats, -11 though.

I doubt it, but if he does that team becomes even scarier for 14-15.
