Parentau would be a great addition, though you wonder how much of his success stems from playing on a line with Tavares. Still, he could likely be had for a very decent price.
Hudler is someone the Jackets desperately need. Without Nash, we need some proven goal scorers and power play threats. I know people think Johansen and Atkinson are going to step it up in the goal department and Umby's going to boounce back, etc., but that's a lot of what-ifs. Hudler may be a liability in his own zone, but I'll take his offense any day.
I guess I'll just go with other. I already listed out my recommendations a while ago. A lot of which wasn't even on this poll.
Biggest issue with this poll is that you asked "Who would you sign", then you add on a disclaimer that you can't even pick a "big name" on the other option. We're acting like this a fantasy GM time and then we take away the biggest fantasies.... It's a travesty I tell you.

I went with the two Yotes, Doan and Whitney, because they have the tangibles that this team has been short on for too long - talent and work ethic. We saw Whitney, we know what he brings; but Shane Doan brings leadership, skill, and a no BS attitude. There's a reason the Yotes have remained competitive the last couple of years, and Shane Doan leading the way hasn't hurt.
I voted other, I want to take a reasonable gamble on Peter Mueller, as long as the price is right. Doan, Whitney, Hudler would all be nice additions, I'm just not sure about how much we would have to pay.

Mueller was a bit of an afterthought for me, but I wouldn't be against it. I liked Mueller so much coming out of junior that I told my buddy he'd be as good as Ryan Getzlaf. I can't help but wonder where his career would be without the concussion issues ... the kid can flat out play.

Based on scoring ability and/or what I know about the players:
Parenteau would be nice, as would Jokinen (assuming we mean Olli, though Jussi wouldn't be terrible either if we could land him).
Semin seems like he might be a bit of a headcase. Do we need one of those around?
Even though I wasn't around as a fan when he was around, Doug MacLean was mentally handicapped for letting Whitney go. I'd like to see him with my own eyes in Union Blue. Bringing the Wizard AND Doan in from Phoenix would be amazing.
