Thankfully I've publicly retracted my prediction made after HAARP that Muse will be the best band in the world for the next ten years.

What a garbage song.

That song is ****ing hilarious. The lyrics + the backup chanting is just so ridiculous.

Could've been alright without the background chanting/opera vocals. Clearly going for Queen but can't pull it off.

I love Muse, but not this song.

For those who think it's cheesy, have you not listened to Muse? That's the entire point haha.

Muse usually fail when they try to make stuff like that. Should've stuck to Our Time Is Running Out type of tracks. I also don't like that vocal chorus thing and Bellamy's singing really doesn't seem to match the song. The only song I've heard from recent times where that chorus sounded good was The Age of The Understatement in that project by the Arctic Monkeys singer.

It's a decent song on it's now although strange for the Olympics....should've used The Starting Line from the new Keane album, sound matches better and lyrics aren't as lame.

Wasn't into the song upon first listen, but I've grown to really appreciate it.

I'm excited.

Also thought The Resistance was strong, save for I Belong To You and to a much lesser extent, Guiding Light.

The teaser video is alright. Not really surprised with the song, simply because the dubstep part sounds like that midi modifier thingy Matt has on his Manson guitar. As far as the olympic song? I can only hope it doesn't make the album. I think what frustrated me about it is that it's not even like they are writing bad songs. They aren't even TRYING to write songs like those from Absolution and Origin. Can't even say they have lost it, because they seem to want to move away from that type of sound. Pity really, since they can rip.

"christian gangsta rap jazz odyssey, with some ambient rebellious dubstep and face melting metal flamenco cowboy psychedelia"

Unsustainable was released in full late last night. I really don't think it's that bad, but it's 'in' to hate anything dubstep now days.

I like the strings and choir. Not too sure about the rest.

It's not "in", dubstep - at least the bastardized, Americanized version - sucks.

So does the song have that woman talking in it? If it doesn't it's passable if it does, wow. New low.

If that's the only part of the album they're using dubstep then I can live with it. It's fine if it's only on one or two tracks as long as the rest is decent.

Muse imo have never made a truly high end album. They're big because of their live skills and some great singles. So as long as this has 3-4 good single type tracks plus a few decent album ones then I'll be happy.

Origin of Symmetry and Absolution are pretty high end in my mind.

The latter half of OoS brings it down. Absolution is top notch, but Fury really should have been a main track.

I happen to really like Unsustainable, the ventured into something different, and while it's not usually my cup of tea, they made it work.

Where's the singing in Unsustainable? Ugh, I am not feeling these first 2 songs released (I like bits and pieces of each song but as a whole I am not buzzing in excitement) and Muse is my second favourite band.

Christ I'm sure Enter Shikari are happy to have a band as big as Muse blatantly ripping them off.

....

Not sure if serious.

It sounds a little bit like a bit of Shikari stuff, is that really ripping them off? Have you listened to dubstep? All of it sounds like that.

Maybe a blatant ripoff was too much, but I see a number of eerily glaring similarities. And not all dubstep sounds the same, it's more the combination of dubstep and this theme.
