The bars close at 2 in Calgary. Prust already played in Calgary.
They traded him twice. Why on Earth would he sign there again?

We dont need a middleweight fighter. Having Rupp as our enforcer is enough. He beat up Kopecky (non fighter) this year. If someone does something dirty just have Rupp go after him.

If we do not re-sign Prust, my guess is he signs in Montreal.

Too bad about Pruster. He over played his hand.

Gonna miss the Pruster. Was about to change username to PrustForPresident last offseason. My fave moment of him was when he scored that breakaway goal against the Devils in game 5.

The true value of a man are his words and actions.

Everything Prust has done this offseason has been flat out wrong and whiny. Acting like a full-out prima donna. Considering he is leaving the team over potentially 400,000 a year speaks volumes about him.

Good riddance, Prust. Have fun in Toronto or Montreal.

Watch Prust, Avery and Wolski all wind up on the Island and come back to haunt us...

Avery said yesterday (or day before) that he's still done and not looking.

Why all of the hate for Prust? The guy did his job ever since he put on a Rangers sweater. He's asking for too much money but he has the right to do so. If you guys were in his position, you'd be doing the same thing.

If you can't keep your emotions in check and have to air them out over social media... That was pretty effing lame.

exactly. you should have about 10 or 15 personal checkpoints before you blather on the internet. esp when your career is involved.

not very bright. I don't have much more to say about this guy. i'd like him back like everyone else, but not at that price. he overplayed his hand because he could. i understand that i guess, but he stated prior to all of this publicly that money wasn't the top priority for him. But it seems it is, and then he says management doesn't want him back? pretty stupid stuff.

It was childish. Very childish. He is one of my favorite Rangers.

I don't think anyone has a problem with him asking for more money. At least I don't. I don't love him running to twitter and blabbing.

The whole point of Twitter is to blab. The Rangers have only themselves to blame--the whole world twitters according to them--they made such a point of it from training camp on getting both fans and players involved. Bit them in the ass--but there's no real blood--just some toothmarks from this. The Rangers will go on and Prust will go somewhere else. End of story--and no hard feelings at least not from me.

the rangers are offering him a fourth line role at a good fourth line salary. he wants a third line role and salary. that's the difference. can't really say who's 'right', i guess, since we don't really have a season's worth of prust third line work to examine. i'm with sather though, i don't see prust having nearly enough offensive skill for the third line.
He's a 4th liner. A third line player can accept a pass in his skates or one that is slightly off the mark. He cannot. he is a grinder/pk specialist who can drop the gloves. A very good 4th liner and the contract we offerered is good for that role. If he wants to be paid like a third line player he will need to go elsewhere because we know he is not that. Shame.
