I wonder what kinda music they played in 82? I went to a few games very early in those Mickey Mouse years, but I don't remember what they played.

Come On Eileen maybe?

Or Don't You Want Me Baby, I'll Stop The World And Melt With You.

Stuff that was big in those days.

I'd post some videos, but they're all littered with long advertisements the ones I wanna post!

Has anyone found on YT/filmed the rocky montage they've been playing?

A bit too early for me, but my first game I went to was in 1985, and for whatever reason, I specifically recall two songs played. Why? No idea why they stuck with me, maybe because I was so young but I liked them, but they were:

Runaway - Bon Jovi
Run to You - Bryan Adams

I also remember a Maxell cassette tape commerical with dancing robots on the moon, and a Miller Lite "Tastes great, Less filling" commercial (they used to play commercials just like on TV). There were no hanging jumbotrons, but giant screens (2) in each corner. I have vivid memories of that first game. It was stick and puck night (still have the puck), and Mario Lemieux scored (it was his rookie season).

Oh, and in keeping with the spirit of this thread, the music at The Rock last night was WAY worse than normal. It was also played too loud (way louder than normal) and it actually HURT the atmosphere at times because there were times that it drowned out what was an INCREDIBLY LOUD CROWD. Which is exactly the opposite of what they should be doing.

The middle song you guys were looking for is from Tron Legacy

Or it could be "The Game Has Changed" on the Tron soundtrack.

^^That tron song isn't it. If you're talking about the song with the old playoff highlights and the general Patton quote I'm still searching because it's killing me. The song during the red alert thing was ghosts 32 by nine inch nails.
