Either you guys really love Palffy or you all started being Kings fans in the 00's lol.
Next time I do a giveaway (and there is another one coming when I get off my lazy a$$) I should include the two Palffy RCs in the pack, lol.
I started being a Kings fan wayyyyyy before 2000, but the thing I loved about Palffy was, when he was on the ice, and received a pass, there was that definate threat of him scoring a goal every time. Almost like a breakaway was expected. He was very exciting. But my all time favorite was Luc, loved him since his first game with the Kings.
This maybe cheating, but if you recall Field of Dreams, the doctor was a kid who played barely before giving it up. He played three outs on defense then never got to bat and the season was over. So he quit.
While technically a player, that's just a drop ahead of what the couch potatoes like us have achieved. So I don't really consider Doc "Moonlight" Graham a player.
With that in mind, if it's just giving an old man a chance to go back to being a boy with a chance to live a dream, my pick would be Bob Miller.
The underlying theme to this thread is that even though we just won the Cup, which is the most important thing in our history ever with the Gretzky trade second, our team's history is adorned with many beloved players whose contributions are still remembered by us, the fans.
