Wow, Comeau gets it hard around here. He is a serviceable 3rd liner and one of our few forwards who could actually knock someones block off with a body check. I like it.
yes! people its 1.5 mill hes a solid player and this is a good contract for him. besides its only 1 year not 5........
Actually Comeau broke 30 points before Glencross did and 40. I am willing to gamble that last year was a down year and he cam become a 30-40 point player.
How was he for you guys last season? Did he do that thing a lot where he enters the zone and circles around the back of the net only to do absolutely nothing with the puck? Was he lazy?
I wanted to like the guy when he was on the Island but he was always extremely lazy/inconsistent. The only positive of his game was he hits a decent amount and that fluke 20+ goal season.

Yes . Circle the back of the net and circle towards the side boards.

He's no longer getting paid like a 20 goal scorer, so that isn't my expectation. He is really setting out to prove himself, but then again, so did Kotalik, Hagman, etc.

I don't think he was lazy here at all. His problem was that he would always enter the o-zone on the perimeter, and get forced to shoot wide from 30 feet out before getting pinched. His problem was he hardly ever could cut to the net. I have a feeling if he had someone feeding him passes like Bartschi for example, he could easily hit 20 again.

The main thing I dislike about Comeau is that he looks like a lost puppy in the offensive zone when carrying the puck. You can tell he has the ability, but I would guess that his main issue is confidence. Hopefully his game shows some strides this season.

Agreed. I like the signing, I really don't see how anyone can hate on this. I mean, he's everything you could possibly want from a 3rd liner including the contract. He won't be any worse than he was last year, and if he comes out and plays his game he may be a pleasant surprise.

I don't mind it at all either, I like him he just can't finish but neither could Moss. His talent level is higher and he does have a hard shot. Moss had a god damn muffin.

Seriously half his goals were so weak, I think the goalies were expecting some rocket, but it would be some floater that completely caught him off guard It still amazes me Moss actually got 20 goals one season.
