Jiri Hudler

Why is no one talking about this guy? I think he'd be a great addition to the Flyers and I don't really think he'll be getting a HUGE payday over the less than $3 million he makes now. I'd take him around $4 million per year and think he would be awesome on the top line with Giroux and Hartnell/Voracek depending on how the line combos go and who else is brought in/back. If Parise or Suter/Weber aren't coming here (which it appears is this case), I'd make Hudler my #1 priority in free agency on the offensive side of the puck.

Anyone think there is a legit shot at getting him or do you think he'll go back to Detroit or that the Flyers just aren't interested.

No thanks. I'd rather have Dustin Penner tbh.

Me too, I would imagine he would come a little cheaper also.

I could live with a Hudler signing. He's not my primary hope for a scoring winger, and not my second either. He comes with some baggage, perhaps, and he's no defensive stalwart, but he's a skilled player and there aren't that many ufa's this summer who are better than him. He'd be in my short list of six-seven guys I'd look at if I were Homer.

is their any forwards on the flyers that have good slap shots, i think flyers need more slap shot players more than wrist shot players.

I think we're more backhand-deficient, personally.

Small (we've got Giroux, Briere, Read, Wellwood), poor defensively, questionable attitude, and inconsistent offensively year-to-year. What's not to like?

I mentioned him last week in a roster I made and you loved the idea... I would like to see it happen if others names don't pan out.

Personally I would be a fan of bringing in a keeper than can effectively control the bench door. We haven't had one since nittymaki.
