Santorelli and Bradley (Bradley officially bought out)

FLA puts Mike Santorelli on waivers; FLA puts Matt Bradley on unconditional ($125) waivers, presumably for buyout/termination of contract.

It is confirmed, FLA has Bradley on unconditional waivers because the Panthers intend to buy him out.

No surprise on Santorelli, he wasn't at all on par with most of the team this past year, such a disappointment from the year before. But buying out Bradley? That's very odd. Yeah he didn't have much of an impact but the guy got injured. Not sure there's a good reason to do it beyond the fact that we've just got too many forwards.

Oh well, onward and upward.

I wonder what Tallon up his sleeve now that he let go of Bradley and Barch.

Only reason to buyout Bradley is that Tallon is pretty sure that Barch is coming back. He was said to be still in talks with him this week (or last?).

Santorelli on the other hand, probably doomed for re-entry, unless someone is stupid enough to take him on regular waivers.

edit:

Bradley's buyout:

Matt Bradley buyout from CapGeek.com

2012-13: $283,333

Bottom six; Skille, Matthias, Upshall, Smithson, Goc, Kopecky. Maybe Bergie.

I would like a guy like Asham but I think we have our starting bottom 6 filled. The top 6 is what needs work.

Nope, need a fighter, he proved he knows this in getting Barch.

If Barch truly isn't coming back, I'd imagine he's looking at Prust, Asham, and/or Parros.

I like Asham too but he'd be a little too expensive I think. I really hope Barch comes back.

Yeah, we have way too many forwards. Cheap buyout.

The locker room would be too toxic when Semin gets here if Brads stays around

It does make sense though, after what he said about Semin last year.

Yeah, one can only hope haha. Know the board is divided on getting Semin but I am personally in favor of it. One of -- if not the most wicked wrister in the game and insane sniper. Would do wonders for our offense. And he'd truly be the star and not behind anybody. + On top of making massive dough. Has to be somewhat enticing on his behalf?

Not surprised at all about Santorelli, but was about Bradley. He wasn't the most noticeable guy on the team, but was one of our only guys willing to really to get under opposing players skin and then he lost a good chunk of the season due to injury. Without Barch as well and Gudbranson being one of the only tough players left, I'd have to assume that Tallon will be looking to fill a spot or two with an agitator or enforcer as were some of the names in posts above.

i don't know. bradley sounds like a stand-up guy. i'd guess he's probably right.

Bad move, but he's not overly dirty, not any more than some others out there. He's a good fighter in his class, bangs, and can play better than other fighters in his range.

Yes, Prust will test FA, prolly asking for too much tho.
