1 point in 7 games which was an assist.

Maybe they should pair him with the JJ?

Why pair him?

so Straka's production will go down? Net net, you're in the same place.

They should try it to just to get Sykora playing with confidence again. Anything to get him feeling good again because really right now he just doesnt have the jump in his game.

Playing with Jagr...

gives you a false sense of confidence. Jeff Toms could've netted 15 goals on his left this season...that's how good Jagr's been. If Prucha and Sykora are going to be together for the playoffs, then they need to play as much together as possible. Perhaps Sykora misses Rucchin.

Thats my guess, once Rucchin gets back, I think you'll see Sykes get more comfortable again. We might be in the 6 spot by the time that happens...

If he plays with JJ and gets on fire you're probably right. His confidence will go up since he's putting up points, and maybe JJ is just inflating his stats. But confidence is confidence. Doesn't matter where he gets it from -- even if he centered a line with Gretz and Messier, if the confidence is there, it will help his play wherever he is next put.

So now we have gone from Rucchin clearly not being a top-6 player to him needing to be in the top-6?

He's in slump, and he'll get out of it. The team as a whole isn't palying well, and Sykora just seems to be missing the net a bit.
