WTF? Seriously?

This is not good if what Kolzig said that was causing Ovechkin to feel badly.

I guess this is a better place to put it:

Quote:
Crosby's agent Pat Brisson of CAA Sports just told me the deal will be $104.4 million over 12 years
That's a heck of a risk for a guy that just missed a year with concussion issues.

a risk. yet there is no raise in pay. with the salary cap at $70m now, apparantly, his pecentage of the payroll is getting smaller all the time. if he is able to play most of this contract, its a steal.

Are you really surprised? It's a bandwagon sports city.

Good contract for the Pens. Of course there is the concussion risk, but they had to resign him and not having his cap # go up is a good deal for them. It just makes me a little ticked that the Caps didn't tack on a couple more low $ years onto OV's contract. Although he was near the front end of that type of contract....

Detroit is counting really heavily on free agency to fill out their roster. If the first domino falls the wrong way, they could be screwed in a big way.

F Brads. I have no respect for anyone who rips into his teammates after leaving his club. Screw that dbag.

At what would have been a salary of $1M and a cap hit of $950K in 2012-13, that's just too much for what Bradley brings to the table. They saw that paying him $900K in year one in Florida. If he's closer to the minimum than to seven figures, there ought to be a decent amount of interest.

In the end, all he really did was bash Semin. Hell, many of us are right there with him on that one.

Bradley is a nice enough player, within his limits. Someone gave him a very nice contract and he would have been nuts to turn it down.

Bradley's role is on a rebuilding team. As it turns out, the Panthers are not that team. Happy trails in Columbus, Edmonton or Colorado.

If the Devs can't retain Brodeur, I can't see them being able to re-sign Parise.

Guess I wonder this explains why Schultz chose the Oilers and Wideman is loving it too in Calgary:

According to the Phoenix beat writer, Doan switched agents.

Sarah McLellan ‏@azc_mclellan

"Press release from Lagardère Unlimited says Shane Doan has taken on Terry Bross as his agent."

"Doan is their first NHL client. His previous agent was J.P. Barry, who also represents Ray Whitney."

From January 2012 from website, Lagardère Unlimited acquires Gaylord Sports Management Group, the release lists Doan in January announcement.

Such a depressing picture. Clearly the government isn't stealing enough, getting paid 7 million, only able to keep 4.2m.

Poile's having himself a very nice offseason so far. I wonder if he can retain Suter without compromising Weber's long term future in Nashville.
