I'm going to go with sekera. His value is very high right now considering his play last year, and his very good contract. Not to mention our overload at D. I think he is very likely to be in a package for that number 1 center....or any other really good player. (Not that I want him to be traded.)

Myers
Ennis
Foligno
Miller...

No, seriously I think that

Roy, Weber, Boyes, Hecht, one of Stafford/Pominville will leave.

In descending order of likeliness of departure. Roy's only gone if there's another center coming back in that deal or a different deal. They're not going with Ennis-Hodgson and two free agents or Adam/Leino. I could see Enroth being moved, too, in the right deal.
This list is a decent start, but it has no meat on the bone.......

Weber
Leopold
Sekera
McNabb
Brennan
Adam
Roy
Stafford
Vanek
Enroth
Miller

That is the expanded list, and if this team wants to enter Cup contention, you can bet names like Vanek and Stafford are going to be throwin around in trade debates.

Other wise, if this team goes to move just those on your original list Zip, they won't be doing much of anything, you have to give to get.....

I'm wondering why people are listing more than 2 In the first post of this thread I say no more than 2. I also say no UFA's.

Maybe they missed that part

I've said it before, but I absolutely hate this scenerio (bolded).

* If we are going to make the playoffs and he's a major part of it (high trade value) how can you trade him? If anything, you'd be more inclined to resign him and at a more inflated cost OR risk losing him for nothing.

*If we aren't going to make the playoffs, Roy likely isn't playing very well and therefore would have a very low value.

*If we are going to make the playoffs and he isn't a significant part of it, we're going to be able to trade him but at a lower value.

*If he is playing well but we aren't going to make the playoffs, we'd receive maximum value but are having another season without the playoffs and could have moved him earlier that could have made a difference on the season's outcome.

The last scenerio is the only one where we are better off (organizationally) moving him at the deadline, but in that scenerio we aren't making the playoffs again. IMO, the team needs to make a decision this offseason. If he isn't a part of your future move him. If they still think he's a No. 1 center then resign him. So, I'm hoping he's gone before the season begins.

Luke Adam count? I think he's prime trade bait IMO.

Adam and Vanek are my choices. Vanek could go for multiple pieces to a loser of the Nash and/or Ryan derby.

That's really a good point... Vaneks contract is up in 2 years, he takes a beating and has had his performance negatively impacted (by a lot) because of injuries the last 2 years...

Say Parise gets resigned by New Jersey, we go ahead an move Vanek and undercut the Bluejackets who are asking entirely too much....

Go to the Nash thread and check out some of those offers....

No doubt? Career-to-date, he's scored exactly at Perreault's career gpg pace, and has played less than half the seasons / games Perreault played. Such assertion would assume no decline over the next ~8.5 seasons for a player who gets beat on a lot down low and in the slot. Vanek's a good goal scorer, and he's still young enough and consistent enough that he MAY get to 500 / 512 goals. But I think it's far from "no doubt". Not flaming, just pointing out that's a damn hard thing to do.

As to the OP:
1. Weber

.
.
.

2. Adam

It was a lot easier to score goals in Perreault's days. A GAA under 3.00 and a SV% under .900 were fantastic.

I'd like to predict...NOBODY.

All current players will return, with the only distinction being if Tropp or Ellis start in Rochester (same for Adam I guess). Not sure if that counts for what you're asking (off the starting roster or out of the organization?). If you mean out of the organization, I think nobody leaves. I'll give a slight chance to Kaleta depending on if a UFA winger is signed and Tropp takes Kaleta's roster spot.

Anyway, I predict nobody leaves and only one UFA signing is added (winger or 4th line center).
