That makes me so happy. Even if Lats leaves, Butch coming back helps out our Top-6 quite a bit. Especially if we try to get a 2nd/3rd line guy or if a prospect really steps up.

Granted, I would still like Lats to come back. Hopefully he does.

I guess I never heard he was 100%. Color me a little more optimistic. Now I can actually include him in projected lineups.

I didn't think he was 100%. Lats just referred him to that concussion specialist IIRC. I didn't hear that he was perfectly healthy.

Yeah, that's what he said.

Now, let's hope nobody will hit him illegally next season.

As a note, has anyone heard anything about Falk? Last we heard was the same as Lats wasn't it? No QO, but expected to sign, or did he get a QO?

possibly waiting on Schultz.
I think Falk has potential. At least Good Falk looked like he did, both offensively and defensively.

So for argument sake if we get all 3 big fish, do we just build GMCF a massive statue with an obvious bulge?

The bulge would have to reach all the way to Tom Reid's

no, he'll still be an idiot with no roster management skills. forever.

edit: that was sarcasm. but you must have figured out by now that no matter what, someone will be dissatisfied. SoH for instance will complain that we should have sold off one of our top six wingers at the deadline for an extra pick in the next draft the week after we win a cup and are only picking 30th.

I'm still somewhat unsure about NHL contract stuff, which is why I added the question mark.

I was pretty much looking for confirmation.

What's the more likely scenario?

Fletcher signs a top 6 forward via free agency and trades for a top 4 d-man

or

Fletcher signs a top 4 d-man and trades for a top 6 forward

Neither because we don't have any assets to trade except prospects and Fletcher says he's not touching those this year. Besides, we don't need more top 6 forwards. We already have 6 of them without a free agent signing or counting prospects not name Granlund.
